Sage Oak AL & Memory Care of Lake Charles House 6

Number one: Mon is very happy at Sage Oak! That is a priority for me. Second: All the staff is wonderful to Mom, we have great communication almost daily . There’s always an open door for visitors. The food is outstanding considering bldg 6 has fantastic and friendly chefs. Mom’s needs are met daily and I feel the staff is always very observant of her heath. I highly recommend Sage Oak. I wouldn’t want mom anywhere else.

Our experience at Sage Oak has been nothing short of amazing! No place is like home but this place comes so very close. We moved our mother into Sage Oak in June 2025 due to her needing extra help that was not provided at the place she was resided previously. We have experienced other facilities over the years with our father who had Alzheimer’s and was total assist. He passed away in March of 2022 and since then, our mother began a decline that continues. Upon moving her in to Sage Oak we were hopeful that she would receive the best care, but wow, Sage Oak has exceeded our expectations on so many levels! Mom is happy and well cared for by the wonderful staff. She is gaining weight back that she had lost at her previous place because the chef at Sage Oak is so talented and the food is SO good! I should know, I eat there often! Families are welcomed with open arms and there is a real sense of community that the administration has established and fosters. Each of the 5 houses has 16 residents. SIXTEEN RESIDENTS!! Each house has its own nurse, 2 caregivers, and chef. As stated, we have been in several other facilities with both parents over the years and there was a constant revolving door of employees over those years. Not at Sage Oak…the staff that was there the day we moved mom in is the staff that is still there happily caring for the residents that they consider family. This is special and cannot be replicated as much as other places try. We are so blessed that mom is happy and well cared for and feels at home. We are truly grateful for all that Sage Oak does for our mom, all the residents, and their families. What a blessing this place is!

If you’re looking for a clean (smells like home, not a nursing home), safe, caring environment for your loved one, this is it. I visited a number of facilities from Houston to Baton Rouge, and when I toured Sage Oak, there was no doubt in my mind that this is where my loved one needed to be. From simply inquiring about Memory Care to moving her in, the process was professional, low-stress, and seamless. I love and appreciate the resident/care-giver ratio. There are 15 rooms in my loved one’s Memory Care home, which means she is watched closely and given the personalized care she deserves. I know that if something were to happen to her, it won’t be hours before someone notices. The way all the workers love on her is priceless. I knew from day one that I had chosen the right place, but seeing her literally look years younger and truly thriving at Sage Oak underscores that I made the right decision. Did I mention the gourmet yet nutritious meals and the meaningful activities? I live out of state, and the regular phone calls and text updates I receive from Sage Oak provide me peace of mind and make my heart so happy. Sage Oak is absolutely perfect for my aunt . . . and for me. I can’t imagine her being anywhere else. Sage Oak truly is the model all others should follow. Schedule a visit today.

Sage Oak is a wonderful place for our loved ones. So many activities and events are planned for their enjoyment and entertainment. We love the home concept of smaller numbers of residents in each home, with short distances from their rooms to the dining, outdoor patio, and common areas. There is an amazing staff that includes a private chef, wonderful nursing staff, and plenty of care for each of their residents. The food menu is amazing and it is delicious. We love the care our Mom and Dad receive 24/7. So very thankful we found Sage Oak….
