I want to recognize the amazing staff at St. James Place. From the moment you walk through the doors you are greeted with warm smiles and a staff that is ready to serve. Everyone seems to genuinely enjoy their job and the staff truly works as a team to ensure residents and families get what they need. I especially want to acknowledge Emily Bozeman. She is the Life Enrichment Manager. Despite wearing many hats and having a very full schedule she always makes time to slow down and be present with residents. You can tell she loves her job and the people she serves. Her creativity, kindness, and professionalism are such gifts to the St. James community.

My mother’s stay at SJP after the hospital/surgery, was a setback. They let her fall in the shower before she came home. I wanted to help her myself, but they said no to that. The CNA was distracted and left the room. The fall resulted in a higher degree of pain and disability, than if she’d come straight home after the hospital. They were also misleading about the severity of the fall. Her primary care provider agreed to see her yesterday, two days after the fall. The bruise on her back is enormous, and PA saw fit to take a series of 10 x-rays. It is impossible for her to work toward getting back to normal in her current condition. But they released her telling Medicare she was doing great. So now I can’t leave her alone. It was in many ways apparent that there is a focus on appearance over substance, right down to the calendar of imaginary events and activities displayed prominently about, including in the elevator. Please also note how many of the reviews here have been written by employees or their family members. I think that’s misleading, and quite possibly encouraged by the SJP administration

Caring Companions at St. James Place has been a lifesaver for us during the pandemic. Knowing Dad's companion, William, was there to help brought us peace of mind throughout the uncertainty of this past year. William was always attentive, polite, conscientious and hardworking. It was so comforting to know our Dad was in such good hands! Thank you William, Caring Companions and St. James Place for taking such good care of our loved ones!!!

I just want to recognize the outstanding staff at Caring Companions. The management team of Becky, Sharon and Renee have been extremely patient, professional and accommodating in making sure my mother's needs are met. Sharon, even made a point of attending her caregiver, Carla's, initial meeting with my mother. The caregivers, Carla and Jessica, are courteous, respectful and have made my mom feel very comfortable. My siblings and I greatly appreciate the wonderful care you've given our mother. Thank you, Evans Howell

St James has rented out all the skilled nursing beds to outside patients , leaving the residents whom have lived there for over 12 years with out a skilled nursing bed when needed. They sent Ed to a nursing home off site and he is not happy, he is 98 years old and moved there12 years age just to make sure he was taken care of when he needs this care. I feel they have not honored the contract he has with them and I just talked to another person that lives there and she said they do this when they are short on beds. He has spent very much money to stay there as you know if you live there. un happy.....Michael
