This is regarding my great grandmother living there, we recently moved her out- here’s why. They kept raising the rent- for what? They didn’t wash her clothes, they were filthy and wadded up on the floor of the closet. Her bedsheets were filthy. All of her necessities were locked up, like her depends and wipes and the people who had keys to her necessities refused to come in to unlock it so she can have them. Stu being one of them, wouldn’t even talk to my husband when he was called. So we asked what was the protocol for if she needs something and they don’t have access to it because they don’t have someone to cover the weekends with a key who can unlock these things- no onsite manager- their response? The improvise. The may well be taking from other residents to supplement the residents who need them. But, then we found out they don’t even take her to the bathroom. She lays in her feces and urine all day- she just goes on herself- god knows how long she’s in it between check ins from the staff. Next- when she was put in the toilet, finally, they wet wads of toilet paper to clean her off- not her wipes because they were locked up. Stu was notified we’d be moving her out today, but told the staff it was the 19th because that’s when her contract is up- as if WE have to abide by HIS schedule to get off work, in the middle of the week, to move her. We are looking into another avenues here, and apparently, there’s a reason they’re being sued. I highly suggest doing an immense amount of research before putting your loved ones here. I love how they copy and paste responses as if every one star review is lying or don’t know what they’re talking about. One- you won’t locate me as my email name is different than my real one- and 2- you did talk to my loved ones- Stu called them actually. Enjoy my “scathing review”.

Palm Vista has an amazing staff. In memory care I have noted that staff are so caring and loving to the residents. A wonderful place for loved ones in Palmdale.

I initially chose not to share the full details of my experience and to just leave one star out of respect. However, since the facility has now publicly responded—saying they never had any contact with me, even as a visitor—I feel compelled to clarify. Not only did I visit my father weekly (as their visitor logs would clearly confirm), he was one of their very first residents and lived there for years. From the beginning, my father often felt harassed—particularly by a staff member named Stew. When my father first moved in during their opening, he was told he couldn’t use his mobility scooter unless it was insured. I questioned this, as public facilities are generally required to accommodate mobility devices without restriction for the handicap. While I did move forward with getting it insured, before the process was complete, Stew would repeatedly make my father get out of his scooter and walk whenever he entered the building. This was not only inappropriate but dangerous. My father had late-stage heart disease, gout, and advanced kidney disease. Walking even short distances—like from the entrance to the dining area—was nearly impossible without his scooter. Instead of supporting his needs, they attempted to charge him for a staff escort to the dining room until the insurance was finalized. Hopefully, the policy has changed but when the place first opened this was our experience and I have emails to prove it. There were many other instances where my father felt mistreated or stressed there. He frequently called me in distress, trying to cope with both his health issues and the added strain of these interactions. One particular issue stands out: when he requested his prescribed pain medication through their medication management service, they refused, claiming his dialysis would "flush it out." This left him in unnecessary pain for hours—until I had his doctor personally intervene. Later, when my father asked to opt out of the medication management service (supported by a note from his primary care physician confirming he was mentally capable of self-administering), the facility responded by threatening him with eviction for noncompliance. Instead of fighting it, my dad just decided to pay the hundreds of dollars for a service he didn't want because he wasn't in good enough health to withstand a move. Eventually, my father passed away. Some of the staff were kind and compassionate, offering their condolences and remembering him fondly. He genuinely appreciated a few of the caregivers who checked in on him regularly. The majority of the staff was lovely. But others? They didn’t say a word—not even a simple “sorry for your loss.” Instead, it was just: “Come get his things so we can free up the room.”

By far the best senior living community in the AV. Best communication, super clean and a wide variety of good food served to residents. They even ask their residents input on what they would like. Sweet care givers, lots of activities and entertainment arranged by the amazing Jaqueline! Your loved ones are safe and cared for at Palm Vista Senior Living

This senior living facility is truly exceptional. The management team is attentive, responsive, and genuinely cares about the well-being of residents. The environment is always clean, well-maintained, and welcoming, creating a comfortable space for everyone. Meals are thoughtfully prepared, balancing nutrition and taste to meet residents' needs. What truly stands out is the staff—they are incredibly friendly, patient, and compassionate, making residents feel valued and at home. This is a place where seniors can thrive with dignity and support. Highly recommended!
