A & J ALF OF FLORIDA, INC II

Arlene, my friend of 28 years had long ago asked me to get her care if she ever needed it, as she had no children and no family near her. So that time unfortunately arrived. I was so lost in looking for the best situation for my friend. At first she was in a larger institutional style setting. It was terrible on her and me. Then I looked into group home care. I went to several homes in the area. Then I came upon A& J Assisted Living. I called the owner Angela and asked about coming to see her facilities. She said anytime, I said I am free right now. She let me come right over. They did not have to get things ready before I came. She showed me around both of the homes they had available. Everything was clean and she showed such care to the residents as she was showing me around. I asked her lots of questions, Angela even gave me answers to questions I hadn't knew to ask. The other facilities did not offer this support and guidance to me. She treated me like family before I even decided to bring Arlene there. Arlene has memory issues and is a handful. They are wonderful with her and she feels at home there now. She would not eat much at the other facility she was in. They would bring her the food and it would just sit there and then be taken away. Here they all eat together at the table and that got her to eat too. The food always looks and smells amazing when I visit. The care givers are friendly, caring and professional. I love that I do not have to worry that she's getting great care. The doctor comes to her, Angela takes care of everything Arlene needs. I could not have picked a better place for Arlene. I am so blessed I found A& J Assisted Living.
