A Cypress Gardens Assisted Living

As a contractor providing medical care to older adults, I have been to many senior care communities over the last 10 years. Allview Retreat provides fantastic care to all of their residents in an intimate, home-like setting. Kim, the owner, is very involved and shows such a deep passion for what she does. Her staff are always engaged, communicative, and know the residents well. It’s important to know with senior living, that just because a building appears grandiose and luxurious does not mean things are run efficiently or safely. The cost can be astronomical and it’s hard to find good people that truly care. Smaller residential houses like Allview Retreat are true gems. It’s unfortunately rare that I say, “I’d move my loved one there” when speaking of senior living. But I can wholeheartedly say that I would move my own family members to Allview.

When I needed a short term respite stay for my sister while I traveled for Thanksgiving, I was referred to Allview Retreat Asst’d Living. They lived up to our expectations. Kim and her staff made my sister feel comfortable and at ease there from the beginning. They took very good care of her that week. It is very nice there. We would definitely use them again.

Allview Retreat has been a true blessing for my parents and our family. When my parents left their home of over 40 years to move into a senior living facility, it was a difficult transition for them. They were in a very large facility that was nice but had no feel of home. Once the confines of COVID hit, our parents began to decline rapidly and we knew we had to get them to a better place. Finding Allview Retreat literally saved their lives. Living at Allview Retreat is home. Tenants can move freely from their rooms to the family room, dining room, or the outside porch. We enjoy sitting outside on the carport porch for larger family gatherings. The owner and staff are absolutely wonderful. Communication has been excellent and they are all so caring to both parents as well as family members. My parents had been there for a couple of years when my father passed away from pancreatic cancer last December. I cannot imagine going through such a painful experience anywhere other than Allview Retreat. My mother is still thriving which I did not think she would without my father, but it is because of where she is and the care she is receiving. I highly recommend Allview Retreat for the superb care of a beloved family member.

Allview Retreat has been a Godsend for my mother and our family! We moved her to Allview from a larger assisted living facility in spring 2022, as her Alzheimer’s had really progressed and she needed a smaller place with more individualized care. Best decision ever! While the first weeks were somewhat difficult for Mom, because she didn’t understand why she moved and all the changes, Kim and her staff, and her wonderful house manager, Ina, were all so patient, loving, and kind to Mom as she made the transition. They have always met Mom where SHE is at on her Alzheimer’s journey and care for her with such dignity and respect! If you know anything about dementia/Alzheimer’s that’s really all a family member could ever hope for! Allview Retreat is the best!

My 77-year-old dad spent two-months at Allview Retreat, where he recovered from rib & hip fractures & got well in body & soul along the way. Kim & Tracey are two amazing women, and I'm lucky they're in my life. Kim logged the most time with my dad, included him in their family gatherings and outings so he could heal just as if he were at home with his own family. My Dad was surrounded by people who genuinely cared about what he needed to progress, and he left a better, healthier, happier person. We are truly blessed to have found Allview Retreat.
