A DAUGHTERS CARE

The owner showed me the house and it was okay. We met a couple of times and I put a 'deposit' down to hold the space, since my mom isn't here locally. My mother got sick and was hospitalized in the state where she is, the very next week, and couldn't come as expected. I told the owner what happened and that she could let the room go to someone else. She told me to wait and see what happens with my mom. Mom isn't even able to make the trip over. When I asked about refunding the deposit, I was only given $500 back, out of the $1500 I paid. I've looked in all the paperwork she gave me and didn't see anything about a deposit or a partial refund of it. I feel like this was just a 'money grab', and I cannot refer anyone here, as I thought I might originally would. I let the company that referred me here, know what happened and they seemed surprised also. At this point, I'm physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted and have just left it alone. A review is all I can manage to do. People be aware!
