Joyful Journey was such an amazing home for my grandmother. Amanda is so on top of everything and works so hard to keep every aspect of her resident’s day-to-day needs met and their lives in perfect harmony. The staff is unmatched and take their caregiving duties very seriously and with so much pride and grace. We are so fortunate to have had so much love around my grandmother and I will be forever grateful for the dignity, comfort and peace they provided to her and to our family as she transitioned from this world.

I cannot say enough great things about Joyful Journeys. My stepmother of over 40 years had lived independently until a sudden illness led to hospitalization and made it impossible for her to manage safely at home. The transition was heartbreaking for her. To make matters worse, the facilities recommended by the hospital felt cold, depressing, and seemed more like places to wait out one's remaining days. It was disheartening and unacceptable. Then—thankfully—we found Joyful Journeys. It has been a complete game-changer. Amanda and her team are not only incredibly capable and well-trained, but they’ve treated both my stepmother and me like family. Their guidance and warmth have made a difficult situation manageable, even hopeful. The home is designed in a single-family style (my words, not theirs), and it genuinely feels like a true home—not an institution. With a maximum of six residents per location and a tight-knit clinical team, every individual is known by name. They learn each resident’s preferences and go out of their way to accommodate them in daily life as they deliver care 24/7. That attention and care restored my stepmother’s sense of dignity and hope. She now feels supported, valued, and seen. I couldn’t give Joyful Journeys a stronger recommendation. They set a gold standard in care, and I sincerely hope their model becomes the norm nationwide.

As a hospice social worker, I go into a lot of facilities and am often asked for recommendations by family members. Even when I know they don't have openings, I still tell people about Joyful Journey and encourage them to get on the wait list. The care provided by all of the caregivers at Joyful Journey is hands down the best. Joyful Journey provides a safe, home-like environment with lots of love and exceptional care.

Our sweet momma lived the last 5 years of her life at A Joyful Journey. And those years for her were truly that… a joyful journey home. The staff took wonderful care of our mother and treated her and the other ladies like their own grandmothers. I visited my mom almost every day and always felt at home there, often drinking a glass of their delicious iced tea. I cannot say enough good things about this place!
