My grandmother stayed at Bonita Villa Senior Living for a short time, and our family had a very good experience. The staff was kind, attentive, and patient, and the facility felt clean, bright, and welcoming. She adjusted quickly and always mentioned feeling safe and well cared for. We appreciated the regular updates and the genuine warmth from the caregivers. I’d confidently recommend this place to other families.

If you are looking for a place where "community" isn't just a buzzword but a daily reality, Bonita Villa Senior Living is truly a hidden gem in Chula Vista. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels more like a lively family home than a facility. Endless Ways to Stay Engaged What stands out most is the sheer variety of activities. You’ll often find residents gathered around the long tables for painting and art activities, where local staff are right there to help everyone tap into their creative side. The Bingo day's are a clear fan favorite—the energy in the room is fantastic, and it’s a great way for residents to socialize. Thoughtful Amenities & Social Spaces The building is beautifully laid out to encourage interaction: The Billiards Lounge: A classic spot for a friendly game of pool. Entertainment & Music: There's often live music or piano performances that fill the common areas. Social Dining: The snacks and refreshments (like the great appetizers and treats served during the event.!) are always a hit. Pet-Friendly Vibes: One of the best parts is seeing the residents’ furry friends—the community is very welcoming to pets, which brings so much joy to everyone. Care and Comfort The staff here are incredibly attentive and genuinely care about the residents' happiness. Whether it’s a holiday celebration or a quiet afternoon in the library, there is a consistent sense of safety and belonging. The rooms are bright and clean, but it’s the common areas—full of laughter and activity—that make Bonita Villa feel so special. It’s a place where residents don't just "live," they thrive. Whether you’re here for Assisted Living or Memory Care, you’re treated like family. I totally recommend it. For your loved ones

We had a great time performing our "Christmas from the Islands" show for the residents and staff of Bonita Villa. It was very rewarding and heart-warming seeing your faces as we danced our Polynesian show. You were a great audience. I hope we brought you a bit of holiday joy that afternoon. We have always enjoyed performing at your facility. The dancing area works well for us and you provide our dancers a large room to dress and that's close by - a big plus. Roberto was very friendly and accommodating. He also interacted well with the residents, which is a valuable trait to have in his position. Kudos to him! Thanks again for having us! We wish our all the best. Mahalo and Hau'oli makahiki hou! Jerry ~ on behalf of the "He Nani O Polynesia" dancers

Three months ago this would had been a two star rating but the new management under Abraham and Richard have made great strides in the last 90 days. With any industry there are those who are passionate about their jobs and those just collecting a paycheck. There were always a few great caregivers over the last year while our mother was at the community, but consistent staffing challenges made it so the level of care that was first promised has not executed. The current administration has worked tirelessly to terminate those individuals who were not as vested in the company, and onboard passionate caregivers who have made a great difference. Cynthia, Anna, Albert and Loli are a mix of tenured and new staff members that should be recognized for their relentless patience and unwavering commitment to providing excellent care for our mother. It's been a challenging year to ensure our mother received the proper care but the community is heading in the right direction and the current team and leadership are aligned in their strive for excellent senior care.

My mom has been in this assisted living community for over two years, and although there have been several changes in the last few months, all of the new management and staffing adjustments have clearly been aimed at improving the quality of care for the residents. I can’t say enough about the outstanding job the new Executive Director, Abraham, is doing. He’s made resident safety a top priority, and his communication with families is excellent something I truly appreciate. There was a time when I thought I might have to move my mom, but the team has shown me that she is now in very good hands. On top of that, the community has really stepped up its activities. There are so many engaging and fun programs happening now, and it’s wonderful to see Mom excited to participate and stay active with her friends. She’s comfortable, well cared for, and happy to stay in the community. I’m grateful for the positive changes and the dedication the staff has shown. I finally feel confident in my mom’s care again.
