The Abbey Senior Health Center in O'Fallon, is an outstanding facility for my mom. We love it and the staff is the best that I've seen in 4 facilities around the Saint Louis area. Everyone is so kind and the entertainment staff is just unbelievable and they keep the residents occupied and busy all the time.

My mother was here for a short stay to rehab after a difficult hospitalization. The staff took wonderful care of her and through their diligent efforts, helped her to return home earlier than expected. This will definitely be our first choice should we need senior health assistance in the future.

This is the most loving place. The staff is so good to the residents. My mom feels so loved & cared for. Our whole family feels welcome and included in Mom’s care. They are so creative in the activities they do. The dietary staff makes a wide variety of food, with a sensitivity to favorite comfort style food for this age group. The place is always so clean Management very approachable involved and responsive

My grandmother fell in July 2022 and suffered a triple spiral fracture to her femur. Being new to elderly healthcare and the process of insurance coverage, we mistakenly wasted her "100 days" of Medicare Part A at the first facility she was at. When the time was up, we frantically searched high & low for a more compassionate facility to continue her care. I specifically remember passing over Abbey Senior Health because of their online reviews. Most were 4 years or older, but since I was horrified by our experience at the first facility I simply didn't want to risk the same mistake again. When I found a facility I felt comfortable with, my Grandmother sadly didn't qualify due to her existing transfer issues. :/ But when they referred me to the Abbey as one of their beloved, yet unofficial partner facilities, how could we not at least give them a try? So we decided to ignore the reviews and go on a tour - and by golly Thank God we did!! Abbey Senior Health is by far the best facility in the entire county. We looked at a lot!! While rooted in Catholicism, their mission aligns with the Lord's work but they do not force religion on any of their residents. It's a well-rounded facility for elderly residents! Some of the things I noticed during her stay: - Meal variety & consistent feeding times (three meals a day, three choices a day!) - Cleanliness, you can't walk down one of their halls without spotting 1-2 housekeepers at work - Setup for success, each room is spacious & properly adorned with comfortable furniture - Things to do, they actually execute their activity calendar & retrieve residents room-by-room most days - Participatory staff, they want to chat with you about your loved one when they see you - Therapy, accompanied by a huge room, they offer physical, occupational, cognitive & restorative therapies - Natural light, no matter the floor you're on, you will see the outdoors (and a stunning campus at that!) - Safe location, they share a parking lot with the O'Fallon Police Department (enough said!) - Management presence, at every desk you will either find a manager or manager business cards to which all offer their mobile phone number - Personalization, you will be addressed by name by nearly all staff within the first week - Dedicated shower aid, they are pretty good about two showers a week - Bonus space, there is an array of common spaces to visit with your loved one throughout the building (we even held a 30pax Thanksgiving potluck dinner there!) - Pet therapy, they bring-in animals as an activity, but you can also bring up your pup to visit - Continuum of care, I believe they offer independent living, long-term care, short-term/skilled nursing, respite care, and they're in the process of adding a handful of assisted living options For our family, interaction was just as important as rehabilitation. And as you can see below, she had plenty of interaction during the hours the family was at work: - 830am, in-room breakfast (her choice) - 10am, group exercise activity (restorative therapy) - 1030am, occupational therapy - 1130am, cafeteria lunch - 1230pm, physical therapy - 2pm, group activity (changed each week) - 330pm, cognitive therapy (usually in-room) - 5pm, cafeteria dinner - 7pm, shower (The above was a typical Thursday for her.) I really cannot say enough about the care at and support received by Abbey Senior Health. I could shout-out to the entire team! Missy, Christal, Linda, Matt, Joy, John, Theresa, Erica, Abbi, Brian, Kendra, Derek, Angela, and sooo many more! Thank you for offering Respite Care to my Grandmother!!

What a fantastic experience my mother has had while rehabbing at Abbey Senior Health. The staff has been so caring and kind. Her rehab has gone well and we anticipate she will return home soon. Abbey Senior Health was responsive to our needs. They worked quickly to get my mom into rehab and kept communication open with us in the process. We visit her at least once a day and have found things to be consistent. Her room is bright, cheerful and clean. The meals offer good choices and taste delicious. She has an abundance of activities to choose from each week and the staff offer gentle reminders to attend. She has received great therapy and is ahead of schedule on her progress. I would highly recommended Abbey Senior Health to our friends and family. I’ve worked in senior living for 16 years and currently work for another company not located in STL or affiliated with Abbey. I can’t say enough about my mother’s care or the staff. It’s been such a positive experience for our family.
