A Miracle of Compassionate Care I cannot recommend Aberdeen House III, highly enough. When we brought my mother here last June, we were at our lowest point. She was barely walking or talking, needed assistance with all basic care, didn't recognize me, and was constantly asking for her own mother. We were heartbroken and felt helpless. Within just one week at Aberdeen House III, we began seeing changes we thought were impossible. Under Unice's leadership, the staff immediately reassessed my mother's medications for interactions and worked with her doctors to make crucial revisions. They took her specific dietary needs seriously, needs that had been completely ignored at her previous facility, and ensured she received proper nutrition from day one. Nearly nine months later, the transformation is nothing short of remarkable. My mother is walking. She's talking. She recognizes us. She has formed genuine relationships with the other residents and knows her favorite caregivers by name, requesting them specifically. While her dementia is still present and incurable, the compassionate, individualized care she receives has turned back the clock on her decline by what feels like two years. Caring for an elderly parent with dementia is an unimaginable roller coaster of emotions. Having Unice and her team help us navigate this journey with such compassion and expertise has been an absolute godsend. They don't treat residents as numbers or income, they see them as individuals with unique needs, dignity, and worth. If you're searching for a care facility that leads with compassion and delivers real results, Aberdeen House III is that place.

Aberdeen House III Assisted Living is a warm welcoming long-term care facility for seniors who need assistance in daily life. All caregivers are very caring and paying close attention to the needs of an individual resident. I feel confident to leave my loved one in this facility under their care. All residents seem happy like they stay in their own home.

Update: Even in their reply to this review they are breaking the law. This public response written by the facility management is not only unethical, it violates HIPAA laws, and has now been recorded and entered into evidence. Providing a great example of the type of service that they offer and the quality of ownership. Furthermore, the reply signed by “Management” also explicitly confirms all allegations in this review. And since the posting of this review the owner Eunice has been consistently harassing our mother, instructing her staff (Louise) to not wash her clothes and to remove linens from her bed and restricted use of the landline. Louise instructed our elderly mother to take her things to the laundromat, which is a clear violation of their contract in Maryland law. We had to have MCPD police do a wellness check because we couldn’t get in contact with her and when the police officer arrived, the staff employee, Louise told him that Eunice had refused our mother use of the landline, which by the state of Maryland is breaking the law. All of these issues have also been documented via a police report. No one‘s parents deserves to be harassed, mistreated or discriminated against or have personal information posted in the public domain. This facility is infested with mice in the bedrooms of the residents, my mother’s belongings have mice species because of the infestation. Dietary needs are not being met as the residents are being fed hotdogs and sandwiches for every meal, with no regard to dietary needs. Groceries were sent to our mother and the facility asked could they use the food to feed other residents. The owner has stated that she has a friend she wants to move in the infested house and she is needs the room mother is sharing so she needs to find somewhere else to live. Which by law she cannot voluntarily remove my mother just to replace with a friend of a different race. Upon selection of this facility, the owner stated she had care through the night for her residents , which was an untruth because she also states that she just can’t afford it, leaving residents without medication or care through the night. And as a result of this neglect my mother fell. There’ are no door on the rooms for privacy. My mother has had several personal items stolen. When she returned to the facility after spending Thanksgiving with family, her belongings were scattered on her bed, which was not how she left them. We are concerned for her safety and her health as well as mistreatment due to race.

My mom lived in Aberdeen for two wonderful years. Fantastic care that was very cozy and homey and reasonably priced. Meal, laundry, medications and social activities were all very well managed by a very caring staff. For us the location was great. The living room area has a huge window so there is a ton of light and a beautiful backyard to look at. Aberdeen is really great and I can’t recommend it enough.

My mom spent her last year and a half at Aberdeen house. It was the best decision I ever made. She had an intimate home surrounded by loving people with delicious food. It is the-most beautiful atmosphere with a living room with huge windows looking at a gorgeous backyard patio with a covered area. The access to the outside was so easy. I took my mother outside all the time to enjoy the fresh air. All of the staff are so gentle and sweet. I know my mother was in the best care and surrounded by love. I highly recommend the Aberdeen house.
