Our mom had wanted to be able to live at a smaller assisted living facility, and Able Plus has been a really good option for our family. It's a single-family home that has been well-structured as a small facility. The dining room is nice and bright and there's a deck on the back which can be great for visiting outdoors. Both the common areas and the rooms are always clean and welcoming. Our mom has been living there for several years and the staff have been great with her, and work hard to accommodate her increasingly limited mobility—we are really grateful for all their care as our mom's needs change. Ms. Ada is an incredible manager of the facility and is passionate about her clients' health and safety and is really scrupulous about all aspects of care, including coordinating a doctor who conducts in-house visits. We feel really lucky to have found this home for our mom.

My elderly friend was in a downward spiral after a fall he experienced at his independent living facility. From there he went to the hospital and was later discharged to a large institutional assisted living facility where he was mostly bed ridden. Unbeknownst to us he had a wound on the bottom of his foot. He's a diabetic. And somehow the staff never noticed the wound. It became infected, and he eventually had gang green. It was only a family member that found the wound and brought it to the staff's attention. As soon as we could, we wanted to move him to a better quality facility. Able Plus Assisted Living was recommended by MoCo office for the aging. After our first meeting with Ada, she knew the expertise and level of care our dear friend would need. We felt very comfortable and confident. As time went on our friend's experience confirmed our impressions. Ada stays on top of things. Her staff are skilled and very thoughtful. Our friend would often relay stories and conversations he had with the staff regularly. They were very good about communicating with us about any issues our friend was having. Everything was included, even regular visits by a wound nurse and wound center, as well as a physical and occupational therapist. In the beginning, we feared that his foot would be amputated, but instead he was declared completely healed of his wound by the doctors after about a year. Our friend stayed there for 3 years, and was really sad to leave. Our friend only recently passed, and we will always be grateful for the care and attention that Able Plus staff gave to our friend.

My dad recently passed after being taken care of at Able Plus. They took great care of him. Not only care but they showed much love to him. I am greatful to all the staff for loving him especially Shabeca. When I took dad to doctors appointments the doctors would always be amazed at how took care of and the wounds they help heal. Ms. Ada was always on top of my dad’s care and called the doctors whenever they were not addressing my dad’s needs. The last doctor was really impressed with Ms Ada and her staff that he said he would Lito refer his patients there. If you are looking for somewhere to send your loved one for care. I highly recommend Able Plus Assisted Living.

I needed to transfer my mom from a memory facility that, quite frankly, was abusive. My mom has Lewy Body Dementia and needed one on one care. I carefully screened many different homes, memory care facilities and assisted living. From the moment I met the owner and staff, I knew Able Assisted Living was the right place for my mom. They are amazing, patient, knowledgeable, loving and very kind. Everyone is treated like a beloved family member. My mom is quite challenging. The staff worked very hard to earn her trust. Since coming to Able, mom's transformation from hostile and angry, to kind and caring is due in no small part, to the staff at Able. I would highly recommend Able Assisted Living to anyone looking for a home environment for their loved one. Meals are home made, each patient has their own food, staff are attentive and patients are cared for 24/7. It is a lovely home in a quiet neighborhood, clean and well maintained. Patients can have either a shared or private room. What matters to me most? My challenging, difficult mom is happy.

Two years ago, after coming to the heart-breaking realization that I could no longer keep my dad safe at home (his dementia required 24-hour supervision), I went searching for an assisted living facility where I could imagine him being happy. So many of the places I toured were downright depressing. So when I walked into Able Plus and saw the sunlight pouring in through the windows and the carefully furnished rooms, I felt like I could relax. Speaking with Ada, the owner/manager, I could sense that this was a woman who really cared about her residents and wasn't just in it for the monthly check. Dad passed away almost two years later, having been shown love and kindness from everyone who worked there. He joked with them, and they joked back. They made sure he had home-cooked meals every day and clean, homey surroundings. Since he wasn't capable of leaving the facility, Ada found a traveling barber to cut his hair and a podiatrist who made house calls to give diabetic foot exams. She organized birthday and holiday celebrations and invited my brother and me to come join the residents for full Thanksgiving dinners. During the Covid-19 pandemic, they went above and beyond to keep the residents safe. And while I wasn't allowed to visit him during the pandemic (until close to the end of his life), they made sure I was able to visit via video chat. When he finally passed away, I felt comforted knowing he was not alone, as he considered them his family. I highly recommend Able Plus Assisted Living to anyone looking for not just a facility but a home for their loved one.
