AEGIS OF ISSAQUAH

I am very grateful that my mother is living at Aegis in Issaquah. I firmly believe that she is living her best life at Aegis because of the care she receives there. I appreciate every staff member and all that they do for my mother, and all the residents. Thank you.

I moved my husband to Aegis Issaquah from an adult home this past summer and we cannot be happier for making this change. The adult family home did a god job taking care of my husband. My husband is very active and enjoys taking walks and socializing with other residents. However, their approach to reducing my husband’s falls was to keep him in a dining chair most of the time. Realizing this was inhibiting my husband’s muscle development socialization, we began searching for a new community. After touring a half dozen senior living facilities, we fell in love with Aegis Living of Issaquah!  The cottage style setting and weather protected walk paths are exactly what we needed as it promoted my husbands desire to move freely around the community. Prior to moving to Issaquah, we did our due diligence:   we frequently dined to test the food,  joined several activities to get a feel for their Life Enrichment programing and sought the advice of several residents to get their perspective on life at Aegis. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Not only was the gourmet food they served us delicious,but every employee was also positive, willing to assist and knowledgeable. This affirmed our decisions to move!! The money is well spent. They use AI fall prevention system that helps mitigates falls and when needed, the staff respond in a matter of a minutes. This really brings usa peace of mind. Now my husband has his new daily routine strolling around the cottage after breakfast and reads his newspaper at main building. Knowing he is safe and well taken care has tremendously reduced the stress in my life. Thanks for Ui, Margie, Paul and Jay and all other staff that take care of my husband every day and night.  We are grateful to your hard work.

Making the decision to put our family member at Aegis Issaquah was very hard. They had been overseen and under the care of myself and my husband since 1998, even living in our home for almost 3 years. When we realized we could no longer give the care needed we looked into the assisted living homes in our area of which there were 3. I liked the aesthetics of the Aegis property and the people I met there. I was impressed with the food! Our loved one has been at Aegis almost a year now and while there have been minor problems here and there, the staff has always been very kind and supportive. I feel they genuinely want the best for our family member and have been highly responsive to our concerns. We have seen that our loved one is fed well, under good supervision and most importantly, safe. I believe we made a good choice putting our trust in Aegis Issaquah.
