I will always be grateful for the care and concern for my parents while they were living at Alderwood.

I can not give this place enough stars. We all worry about the care our parents will receive when this day comes, but they have treated my mom so well, the staff is always very kind, and helpful. They are always there when she needs help, and never seem put out, or too busy. It’s very clean, and the rooms are spacious. I’ve eaten there a couple of times and the food has always been good. There are many activities and mentally stimulating things to do. I highly recommend Alderwood, my mom is very happy here, and always tells us how good everyone treats her. Thank you to the staff of Alderwood for the exceptional care you are giving my mom.

Warm, friendly environment, exceptional, receptionist, manager, caregivers this is a must see assisted-living in central point. I love this place. It’s like family here. If you’re looking for a place to put mom or dad, this is a warm and loving place and safe if there was a 10 star rating, I would give it a 10!

Alderwood Assistant Living is a wonderful place. They treat all residents with so much compassion and respect. They do their best at all times to see that their needs are met in a timely manner. Never have I seen anger nor hostility or grumpy moods from the staff or upper management. The place is clean, and has a home like feel to it. Their dinning experience and meal prep is done with consideration to each individual, to see they recieve a healthy meal which also taste good. So much more they offer. If you are looking for a place for a loved one, please check Alderwood out.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident When the care level was unacceptable at a more expensive and supposedly higher hospice- rated Assisted Living Center in Medford, we met with Tina the new Executive Director at Alderwood. Her genuine care for her residents was transparent, and she assured us that she would personally make sure that mom’s final days would be full of kindness and diligent care. We enrolled her and were amazed at Tina’s and her staff’s attentiveness and patience even when mom wasn’t the most amiable of residents. Alderwood did everything in their power to make mom’s passing as painless and full of love as possible. The facility is small and doesn’t look as fancy as the pricier places, but there is a real sense of community at Alderwood amongst the residents and the staff. My family and I are so thankful that we finally got it right for mom. Thank you Alderwood. What we learned about the process for those searching. (1) The Executive Director matters; get one that doesn’t sit behind a desk who knows the names and participates in the needs of residents. (2) Talk to residents. Are they happy? What are their chief complaints. (3) If you can stay there with your loved one for a while, do it and check out the care first hand. If it is sub-par, be assured it is even worse when you are gone. (4) Check out the details of the contract. Though it cost them no work, some add hundreds of dollars for a patient self-administrating oxygen.
