This tour revealed a well thought out facility and approach to the residents. The decor was lovely, staff called one another and the residents by their first names, and safety protocols were consistently in place. Residents are given a voice in running the facility and have many opportunities to create activities within and about the area. I rate this living opportunity very high.

I was told by my friend, a resident at Aljola, before arriving to visit him to proceed to the desk to ask for him. I did just that, and after calling the attendent left a message and hung up. I was then told to register myself as a visitor at the machine on a ledge on the opposite wall. After doing that I sat down at the circular seat in the entrance way. Nothing else happened though I was fully visible from the desk. A second person returned from a break or errand. They chatted, both saw me but made no inquiry. I then went up to ask, and was told a message was left at my friend's number. After half an hour I called him myself, and got him. I found the approach of the front desk to be very laissez-faire, with attitudes that were unattentive and unintiutive for a care facility.

Staff is always kind, caring and attentive. Very clean facility with wonderful artwork on every floor. The garden in summer is amazing! A beautiful sanctuary to sit comfortably in.
