The name says it all!!! AMAZING!!! The owner’s Joyce and Dave are very active in both homes. I love how they come in and greet the residence every morning.. They treat the residence like family! The staff is amazing as well! So caring, nurturing the residents are loved and well taken care of.

I am so fortunate to have been able to join this Amazing Grace family. One of the most important qualities of a good assisted living is the how well the staff can adapt to a persons needs. The staff and owners here are very supportive. They have a lot of experience and many of them overlap skills. The food and cook is awesome as well and I enjoy sitting on the back deck every day to enjoy the scenery and chat with my new friends. It is a little piece of heaven back there . My family can just stop by and hang out when they have some time . God bless this Amazing place and all that work here , All my Love Nanna Joan

Mom passed away in late May, 2025. She had not wanted to leave Harford County and as I live 5 hours away, Amazing Grace was our choice, and what a choice it was. I have told my kids to send me there when the need arises. I could not have provided Mom with the level of care and attention that she received from the staff at AG. Towards the end she probably didn't know my wife or me, but she dearly loved the staff. Thank you AG for an amazing job. You guys truly are AMAZING!

After looking closely at several assisted living facilities in Harford County, we chose Amazing Grace for my 90 year old mother. She is happier than I have seen her in years and I cannot say enough positive things about the facility and staff at Amazing Grace. Joyce and her husband Dave renovated this huge home to the highest standards and it is spotlessly clean and beautiful. The furnishings are all new. The staff all live locally and now feel like family. They give the residents of Amazing Grace personal attention and are genuinely caring. The meals are home cooked and accommodate all dietary needs. Residents are encouraged to participate in activities, but also have plenty of personal space. They are not "lost in the crowd" as they might be in larger facilities. The staff keeps a daily diary and it can be reviewed by family members, who are always welcome to visit. They also text photos to families. My mother receives help with bathing and keeping track of her medication. Her laundry is done frequently and her clothes returned neat and folded. Joyce is familiar with the paperwork required by long term care insurance companies and has been helpful with the insurance process. She and Dave are at Amazing Grace daily and also accessible via text, phone and email. The night staff checks in on the residents and are there to assist with using the bathroom. Moving my mother to Amazing Grace has allowed our family to relax and know that she is happy and receiving the attention and care that she needs. It was a much easier and less costly alternative to in-home care. Monthly charges at Amazing Grace are competitive with other highly rated facilities in Harford County and very transparent. We have not seen unexpected charges. I have very high standards and can wholeheartedly recommend Amazing Grace. Families of other residents share my sentiments. UPDATE six years later my mother is still at Amazing Grace and the superb level of care continues. Joyce and Dave have opened a second facility in Bel Air and it is equally nice with a compassionate staff and family atmosphere.

Choosing an assistant living for a love one is the most difficult and hardest decision you can make and we chose wrong the first time for my mom. Then we found Amazing Grace Assistant Living in the summer of 2018, that change my mother's life and ours forever. Before the doors opened for new residents, we contacted the owners, Dave and Joyce Apperson to arrange for a tour with mom. Upon meeting them you could see the pride and joy in their facility and commitment to the highest level of care to the elderly. Knowing Joyce 's background in nursing and geriatrics, made us feel very secure that she would be receive the best care. As we toured this historic home, it was beautifully restored, but upgraded for the resident's safety and comfort. Each room was distinctively different, decorated and cheerful, not drab, like living in a bed and breakfast. It was the first time in months that mom had smiled, so we knew this was it, her forever new "home". She was their first resident until she passed away at Amazing Grace surrounded by family and her Amazing Grace Family. In those 3 years, i have never seen mom more happy, and knowing how content and happy she was, it made our life better. The staff is wonderful and caring, even at my mom's final days, the staff stayed with her, she was never alone. I have so many pictures of mom and the staff that the staff took. They would do her nails so she felt special and beautiful. Dave and Joyce always sent updates and pictures of the residents enjoying the wonderful entertainment. Their Chef, always made mouth watering meals from farm to table, and always included mom even though she was gluten free. Price for this was very competitive and you got so much more at no extra cost. Moms laundry was always folded or neatly hung in her closet and in 3 yrs, they never lost a single item. Amazing grace gave my mother peace, dignity of growing old gracefully. She had friends, companionship, and lived her life to "her" fullest potential . It gave us peace of mind knowing that she was well taken care of and loved. Best of all we made friends, that we will never forget. I highly recommend. it is truly Amazing.
