My mom lived with my sister and needed to relocate when my sister passed away. The amenities and community are impressive, the facility is clean and safe, and AH offers a host of engaging and fun activities for residents. Rachel and Kelli have been outstanding in their respective roles representing American House. I truly appreciate their thoughtfulness, responsiveness, and empathy — and for generally making everything easy for Mom and me during a stressful time.

Shout out for Lucy H. at American House Lakeshore! As Head Housekeeper, she keeps AH & Resident apartments clean & tidy, but she does so much more than that! Lucy truly “takes care” of the residents - she greets everyone with a smile and checks on their welfare. Her positive attitude is contagious - she lights up the hallways with JOY!

Our family has been very happy with our stay at American House Lakeshore. The calendar is chock full of available activities, which include many off-site field trips. The opportunity for social connection has been a major benefit. The staff is friendly, helpful and committed. Building maintenance is ongoing, keeping things looking fresh. Onsite care providers are always available, with an array of à la carte services depending upon need. Outside providers offer services such as flu shots, hearing tests… there’s always something going on. We feel lucky we found such a supportive place to live.
