I had a truly wonderful experience at Santa Maria Post Acute. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcomed, supported, and confident that our loved one was in great hands. The nursing team is attentive, compassionate, and incredibly professional. They take the time to explain care plans, answer questions, and make sure residents are comfortable and well cared for. The exceptional rehab team truly stands out — their therapists are knowledgeable, motivating, and genuinely invested in each patient’s progress. Their personalized approach, encouragement, and expertise made a tremendous difference in recovery and helped build both strength and confidence every day. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and has a warm, positive atmosphere. It’s clear that the entire team genuinely cares about their residents and goes above and beyond. We are so grateful for the outstanding care and rehabilitation services provided and would highly recommend Santa Maria Post Acute to anyone looking for quality post-acute or rehabilitation care. Thank you for everything you do!

After Mom’s 2 week hospital stay at Marian Medical (not good) pending additional caring at a nursing facility, Santa Maria Post and Acute was accepted. Santa Maria Post and Acute is a longtime nursing facility for 60 plus years here in Santa Maria, California. This being my first time stressing where Mom would be receiving extended nursing care. I was immediately welcomed by Antonette for my Mom’s care. She explained the nursing care facility, comforting me Mom’s best care. Every question was thoroughly answered by the assistance of Antonette, from medications (Monica) to speech therapy, thank you! The SMPA Staff of Professionals from admitting, nursing, physical therapy, speech therapy, activity coordinator, food service team all giving outstanding hands on care to every patient! Yesterday I was able to spend time with Mom with her activities, lunch, and her PT, thank you Jerome and Raymond. Also meeting 2 other kind and friendly patients, Barry and Momma Anne at lunch. They both reassuring me as patients at SMPA giving them a very caring second home🙏🏻 To spend this very important time there as a daughter, and to see the interaction of staffing to patients at SMPA, I highly recommend this remarkable nursing facility to any family, guaranteeing your assurance! Antonette, Raymond, Jerome, Sara, Annabel, Monica, thank you for your trusting, caring professional patient services!

My mother in law has been here for over two weeks. Though she’s a pill, the staff has been so tolerant and kind to her. I’m so thankful for all that they do. They keep the place very clean and they keep my mother in law safe. I’m so happy she is here.

My husband was at Santa Maria Post Acute for 3 weeks, & I was very impressed with the facility. It was still undergoing renovations, but it was clean & pleasant. The staff was very nice & helpful; they took good care of him & of me as a frequent visitor. Everyone was very professional and very kind. They were so good about trying to meet his needs. I would use the facility again if my husband or I ever needed it. Caroline C.

Our mother (95) has been at this facility for about six years. She has received just the best care we could hope for and she hasn’t always been the most cooperative resident! We get good communication from staff whenever there is an issue and the facility offers quarterly patient care meetings that we try to take advantage of. They also offer a phone-in meeting for those times when we can’t get to Santa Maria. Though the entire staff is wonderful, we would like to give a special shout out to Denny, Sam and Annabel; they are always gracious and helpful. We are pleased that the facility remains privately owned and we are encouraged by the improvements we have seen and have heard will be implemented. While I sometimes deplore that there are no individual phone numbers or emails for staff members, we really appreciate the fact that the phone is always answered by a real person. If whomever we are trying to reach is not available, they are always prompt to call back. We cannot express enough how pleased we are with our mothers care.
