My mom has been at Anita's Gardens for over a year, and I can’t say enough good things. The staff truly care about the residents — they greet her by name, keep her engaged, and make sure she feels at home. The community is always clean and well-maintained, and the activities are wonderful. It gives our family so much peace of mind knowing she’s safe, cared for, and genuinely happy.

My mother lived at Anita's Gardens for the last year of her life. If your loved one is in perfect physical health, it's great - lots of activities and entertainment and kind staff. However, if they have physical needs (they are incontinent, wheelchair-bound, require assistance eating, etc), please don't subject your loved one to this place. There is a very high turnover rate for caregivers, medication management is very poor, they recently fired(?) their dementia specialist (and are just providing their own internal training for her replacement), and management takes little to no responsibility for problems, always claiming they will investigate and never providing resolution. My siblings and I spent a great deal of time with my mom at Anita's Gardens; she received such questionable care when we were present, we really worried about what was happening when we weren't there. Thank God for hospice so we knew she was bathed regularly and seen by competent medical professionals.

Anita's Garden is a wonderful place for seniors and those seeking compassionate caregiving. We have been fortunate to see the incredible support they provide to families. They also have a strong leadership team that ensures everything runs smoothly and with compassion.

What a unique and impressive experience it was to tour Anita's Gardens in Brookfield! The building itself is stunning. Its high ceilings and very large windows open up every room. The views are calming with inviting greenery out every window, and the residents enjoyed watching birdfeeders that were visited by a variety of lovely birds. One resident proudly showed me her room, encouraging me to look at her woods right outside her window. Her smile was just one of many I witnessed on my tour. I have never visited a more uplifting memory care community. Staff and residents exchanged conversation as if they were old friends. The residents were comfortable and exuded happiness. As an industry professional, I was truly surprised at all of the conversation happening in the dining room among the residents. Oftentimes in memory care, a dining room feels empty even when filled with residents. This community has a heavy focus on dementia training, and it is evident that seasoned trainer Sherrie excels in her role. The entire team engaged with residents in a gentle, loving manner. FIVE STARS TO THIS AMAZING COMMUNITY!

We toured Anita's Gardens at the Brookfield location. It was beautiful, shiny and new. The rooms are lovely except they have carpet, as opposed to vinyl, which seems more conducive to incontinence issues. (not an uncommon occurrence in memory care). My father was admitted and from the start, documents were lost or misplaced. The communication between administration and staff caring for loved ones is very poor. Not all the care staff knew my dad was on hospice, needless to say, protocol is not the same. Turnover of the care staff was constant. At times, there wasn't enough care staff so care givers came from various agencies and were not familiar with care plans for residents. Anita's Gardens requested that "us as a family" hire additional caregivers to be with my dad so he would have additional care. They did assess him prior to move in and stated he was appropriate for the memory care unit. There seems to be a lack of enforcement for care staff being on their personal cell phones during shifts. Medications were not given on time and sometimes not at all. My father's dentures were lost as well and staff was still offering him a regular diet when he had no teeth to chew. (they claimed he wasn't hungry)The main area where residents eat and do activities is very large with very high ceilings, which is very loud and very agitating for people with dementia. To say we were EXTREMELY disappointed in the care my father received at Anita's Gardens in Brookfield is an understatement.
