APPLEWOOD OF NEW BERLIN

Please DO NOT take your loved ones to this facility. Both of my parents were in the Assisted Living area at Applewood of New Berlin with outside Hospice support in June and July of 2020.. There was a total lack of communication from Applewood. The Executive Director and Health Nurse did not return calls in a timely manner and sometimes not at all. UNACCEPTABLE! We couldn’t enter the facility due to COVID restrictions which made it imperative that we were able to have phone discussions regarding my parents care, but that didn’t happen. When my mother was at the “end of life” the CNA’s couldn’t even recognize that she was dying. We were told later that she had stopped eating for 3 days, stopped talking and only slept. They failed to call in Hospice as they were supposed to do. They failed to contact our family which meant we were unable to be with my mother during her last few hours. This is UNFORGIVABLE! Overall, Applewood of New Berlin was highly mismanaged with an inattentive staff that had poor communication and nursing skills. There are far better Assisted Living facilities out there. Do your research! Your loved ones deserve better than Applewood of New Berlin. Very disappointed!

I just love their services; my dad is very much sensitive. The way they are managing my dad its really commendable.
