ARBOR OAKS AT TYRONE

My parents recently moved into Arbor Oaks at Tyrone and we have found there is a long list of positives in a very short time. The care and hard work of all the staff is exceptional! The executive director, Kelly O'Sullivan has done an outstanding job of taking care of all details. She has been patient, caring and knowledgeable in all aspects throughout our move. The facility is kept clean, kitchen service and food are great, tons of activities and entire staff is upbeat and pleasant. We are very fortunate to have found this facility!

We looked at several places that would be a good fit for Mom. Arbor Oaks was the perfect choice! It's a is a beautiful facility with manicured grounds and is very clean and pleasant inside. Kelly and her staff are very attentive and always communicate any issues that arise as well as address any concerns we have. There always seems to be fun activities going on that keep the residents engaged and entertained. The three ladies that work the front desk are fantastic and always take care of any questions you have or will connect you with the person you need to talk to.

My mother's experience at Arbor Oaks has surpassed what I had even hoped it would be. The directors, nurses and staff have been professional, communicative and caring. I have been amazed how they have handled keeping the residents safe, engaged and calm during the pandemic. Choosing an assisted living facility felt like a daunting process but once my mother moved in all of my concerns faded.

Making the decision to place my mother in an ALF was an emotional roller coaster. After an exhaustive search, comparing the pros and cons, Arbor Oaks was my mother's first choice. We have never regretted that choice. In fact, many times we have realized how fortunate my mother feels to be living at Arbor Oaks. The director, Erica, is phenomenal. I cannot imagine working with anyone more attentive and responsive then she has been for my mom and the family. Erica and the ancillary staff are aware of how difficult the transition is and do everything to be of assistance. Mom's room was completely updated before she moved in and is lovely. The resident aides are outstanding. Some, like Dee, who always goes the extra mile, have been there for most of their career. There is genuine concern and care that is demonstrated by all staff. Faitiya and Sabe are just two other aides that stand out as exceptional , although every aide has been wonderful. The activity calendar has something for everyone and allows great activities all day long. The family is always welcome to attend the activities with the residents. I could not be happier with our choice. I would highly recommend Arbor Oaks at Tyrone to anyone else looking for an assisted living facility.

I have been responsible for caring for both my mom and dad for many years and as they declined in health a friend referred me to Arbor Oaks. It was a great decision! Since my father’s passing, the staff and other residents have been wonderful towards my mother in helping her cope. I would recommend Arbor Oaks. Recently, they added a support group for families coping with dementia and it was very helpful.
