Arbor Terrace Senior Living

My mom has been living at Arbor Terrace for about three years, and I couldn’t be happier with our decision. It gives me great peace of mind knowing she is safe and has access to nursing staff and caregivers whenever she needs them. One of the things she enjoys most is the wide variety of activities offered each month. Residents receive a full calendar featuring options like bingo, yoga, jewelry making, Wine Down Wednesdays, shopping outings, and much more. Some of the activities are even led by residents, which creates a wonderful sense of community and involvement. Choosing Arbor Terrace for my mom was definitely the right decision for our family.

The level of care is good. The activities led by Denise “Sparkle” Kirksey are second to none. My aunt, who is 103 and has lived on her own before coming to Arbor, was not keen on engaging with others initially. Mrs. Denise Kirksey has changed the engagement landscape for my Aunt! The first week, she attended a jewelry making workshop and wore a beautiful necklace when I visited. I asked her where she got the necklace and she said “I made it!” I was so impressed and happy! There have been other activities that my aunt participated in, thanks to Mrs. Kirksey and team! I love the calendar of events and encouragement from Mrs. Kirksey for my Aunt to engage! I live in Texas and it is with heartfelt gratitude that I have for Denise Kirksey for making my aunt feel welcome and a part of the community. Thank you Denise “Sparkle” Kirksey for being a fantastic, creative person who flawlessly implements worthwhile, fun, and, commendable activities for everyone at the Greenbelt Arbor Community, especially my Aunt! Kudos to you! Well Done!💯

Arbor Terrace Senior Living has a great facility. The staff is wonderful and attentive to the residents. I would like to give a shout to Denise Kirksey at the activity room. She does a wonderful job getting the seniors to participate in activity.

This seniors living facility is amazing. The staff is so warm and receiving. As you enter the The facility you begin to feel the warmth of the receptionist that welcomes you. Let’s start by saying the facility is very clean . As you go about your business and you meet the staff in the hallway and elevator, They take time out of their busy schedule to speak to you and ask if they can be of any assistance. The activities that they have for the residence are amazing as well. That’s one of my pet peeves, knowing that they do care for your loved one. In saying that, I am at peace knowing my brother is being carried for.

I wanted to write to say how appreciative I am of the efforts Denise and the Engagement Team has made to help ease my Mom’s transition into Arbor Terrace. My Mom is by nature a very private and introverted person. She is warm and friendly but often prefers to spend time by herself or with those she is familiar with. Denise and her team have gone out of their way to break through my Mom’s natural inclination to isolate. In a very gentle and loving way Denise has personally encouraged my Mom. She has taken my suggestions about what might interest my Mom and run with them. She has been extremely proactive and has even gone by when my Mom has had a tough couple of days just to check on her and let her know that the staff cares. This is, in my mind, going above and beyond since I know that everyone there is extremely busy. Denise’s energy level is extraordinary and it’s a joy to watch her with the residents. It’s clear that this is a calling for her, not just a job. On behalf of my Mom and my entire family I say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Denise is a true blessing.
