My Mom lived here years ago. We love Somerby! We had so much fun in assisted living with Lea Gunter. She was an awesome activities director. Always had the most fun . Had a lot of fun with Karen also on our many bus rides.

I’ve been living at Somerby Villa for 4 1/2 years now, and I can honestly say it’s been a wonderful experience. Everything has always been good, but things have become even more vibrant and exciting since Lea took over as our Activity Director. She’s brought a fresh energy to the community — always coming up with fun, creative, and engaging events that give us all something to look forward to. From themed socials to interactive games and meaningful activities, there’s always something happening, and it truly makes a difference in our daily lives. The staff and residents here have always been kind and supportive, making me feel valued and part of a real community. Of course, no place is perfect — little things come up from time to time, which is perfectly normal — but I honestly have nothing major to complain about.

I spoke with their Lifestyle director, Lea, and she was telling me all about the facilities and activities for seniors. She showed me so many activities of the residents being truly engaged in their community. I will be definitely recommending this facility to others as we continue to work on finding a way to bring that kind of involvement to the residential community for my grandmother.

I was introduced to Somerby last year through Elderberry Publishing, and I’m so glad I was. From the moment you drive up, you can tell this community is something special. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff are always kind, professional, and eager to help. I’ve been fortunate to engage with the residents and their families through town hall meetings, educational "snack and learns," and even Happy Hours. Every time I visit Somerby, I feel more connected to the people who live and work there. There’s a genuine sense of community that’s hard to find elsewhere. The facility itself is impressive—beautiful, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. What really stood out to me was the wide range of activities offered. I often joke that it’s like living on a cruise ship! From a swimming pool to onsite beauticians, residents have everything they need for both relaxation and engagement. Somerby isn’t just a place to live—it’s a place to thrive. If I’m ever in the position to choose a senior living community for myself, this is exactly where I’d want to be.

I have visited this place many times to offer my spa services to residents, the environment is always so friendly! Everyone there stays quite busy with fun activities and I’ve been told by many residents that their food is always delicious and they feel blessed to be in such a great place! It’s a place I hope to be at when I retire!
