Arden Courts of Annandale

It was really hard to see my dad struggle through his memory loss and physical decline as a result of Dementia. Words cannot fully describe how comforting it was to be helped by the amazing staff at Arden Court, who were always ready to assist my family and to making my dad more comfortable and feel cared for. Many thanks to the entire Arden Court team, with a special thanks to the team at Berry Ridge - Nana, Anne Marie, Fatmata, Salamantu, Foday, Monammed and so many more who treated my dad with dignity and were so considerate of his needs until he passed away in August. My Mom moved in to live with me in 2018 after a stroke. Also she was showing symptoms of Alzheimer's the previous year. I then spent 4 years looking for a facility for her. In all the places I've visited, the Memory Care area puts more restrictions on residents than the Assisted Living area. I didn't want Mom to feel restricted in her day to day life. In 2022, I discovered Arden Courts of Annandale. It's entirely dedicated to Memory Care. There's no Assisted Living. The layout is thoughtful, similar to that of an elementary school which fits the mental age of its residents. They all have their own rooms with half-baths. They are free to move about indoors and outdoors. The staff discretely takes good care of my Mom. I love it that I could come several times a week to take her on walks out in the beautiful yard. These are little things but they add up to a sense of well-being for my Mom and me.

My father-in-law is a current resident of Arden Courts. We have been very pleased by the care he's receiving. The employees really seem invested in the residents/families and it shows. The layout allows my father-in-law to explore and be much more active than he was when at home. There were some kinks we had to work out at the beginning but I feel that is expected with such a big transitionI would definitely recommend this memory care community.

Arden Courts (Annandale) staff are respectful, caring, professional and show kindness towards all family members. The environment is not only warm and welcoming but there's also an easy to navigate layout of the building with a secure outdoor space for everyone to enjoy. Plus, the location is great with lots of parking. Arden Courts (Annandale) allows for family members to maintain their quality of life and independence while being secure and safe in a community.

We are lucky to have found this facility whose staff takes excellent care of my grandmother. All the staff there show great compassion and skill in treating patients with advanced dementia. The memory care advisor Ana was so kind and was a big advocate for getting my grandmother placed appropriately, and has since really helped facilitate her transition from home. Brings my family peace to know she is in good hands at A.C!
