Arden courts Kensington is a perfect fit for my family member. We love the courtyards and their dog ! Low turnover which is so important. So glad we found Arden

My dad had a 5 day respite stay at Arden Courts Kensington in May. I was nervous to leave him but the staff was exceptional from start to finish so I was able to enjoy my vacation. All of our questions were answered prior to move-in. Lisa and Nurse, Margaret came to my house to get to know my dad and make sure that he was comfortable with the idea of spending a few with days with them at Arden Court. During his stay, the staff and residents were warm and friendly. His room was cozy and clean. I plan to have my dad stay with them a few more time this year. He’s looking forward to it.

My father has multiple mental health issues. Every 3/4 years he will have a manic episode and needs 24 hour care. He is a very intense patient. I was left with no where to go except the emergency room to ensure he was cared for and safe. After 2 months of bouncing in and out of the ED, behavioral Health center at the hospital (for drug users mostly), etc, Arden courts took in my father. Sheila went out of her way on the move in day and opened the doors at 7pm on a Friday. Lisa always updated me during his recovery and assured me that he would be cared for and they would keep him safe. The nursing staff at Arden courts kept him safe through his recovery and made sure he slept, ate, and stayed safe during his manic episode. I am truly grateful that they were all willing to continue care for my father. He is a special case when he has manic episodes and they last up to 6 months. No medication seems to help and he just needs to eat, sleep, and work it out.

We had visited other facilities, yet once we visited Arden and met with Sheila, and took a tour we knew this was the place for Mom. Sheila was so helpful and supportive in every step of this transition. Mom has many new friends, and enjoys participating in most activities, Alexandra does a great job keeping the residents busy having fun! My family and I are very pleased with the care Mom receives on a daily basis from Petal, Mimi & Priscilla to name a few. I enjoyed attending the Thanksgiving and Holiday dinner for family/friends at Arden with Mom. Chef Tony and staff provided a lovely dinner for everyone! Margaret was very helpful & supportive when mom was recently hospitalized. My family and I are blessed we found the right place for Mom.

Unfortunately my mother did not get to spend much time here — she passed away peacefully in her sleep a few days ago at age 94. At a very difficult time all the staff rallied around my family. I only wish we had found Arden sooner. We never had to worry the two months Mom was at Arden because we knew she was being well taken care of. She had spent two years at an assisted living facility, however when her memory got worse we had to move her. We were thrilled to find Arden because they were a perfect fit. A special shout out to Sheila the Memory Care Advisor whom I can only describe as an angel. Emmanuel the building coordinator who gave us a tour and spent a great deal of time showing us the well designed property, many many rooms, and answering questions. When Mom fell, the staff was very proactive contacting me, getting her to the ER to make sure she did not have a concussion, making sure she got back to Arden safely, and keeping the family informed. Mom always told us how nice everyone was— residents and staff. She was socialized with many fun activities as well.
