The staff at this assisted living go above and beyond for their residents. The building is always clean and smells good. It is nicely decorated for each holiday. The food is decent (especially for this type of setting). Activities are going on each time I have been in there. I would highly recommend Artesian Place to any family looking for an assisted living place for their loved one.

I helped my parents move into Artesian Place over three years ago. Despite the transition from their own home into an assisted living facility, they adjusted quickly to their new surroundings and were soon on friendly terms with the staff and other residents. The success of their move was due in large part to the kindness and consideration they received from the people at Artesian. They went out of their way to make my parents—and their cat—feel welcome, comfortable, and secure. In the two years to follow, the level of thoughtful and considerate care continued. Sadly, my mom passed away last year after a short illness. During that time, the staff showed exceptional concern and compassion for both her and my dad. Every day, through their actions and words, they demonstrated how much they cared for both of them and how willing they were to help them during those difficult times. My dad continues to live at Artesian, and the people who work there continue to provide unwavering support. Like any facility, there are sometimes small glitches in operations or services, but they’re typically minor issues that are handled in a timely manner. Most of the time, everything runs in a smooth and easygoing manner. If my dad does need anything, he needs only to press his call button and someone is soon there to help him. Most importantly, the people at Artesian provide my dad with what he needs more than anything else—attentive, patient, and compassionate care—and they offer this care with warm and generous hearts. They have also been extremely considerate and helpful to me over the years, whether they work in the front offices, in the dining room, on the floor, or anywhere else in the facility, answering my endless questions and providing me with the information and support I need to ensure my dad is comfortable and continues to get the care he needs. I realize that I have only my own experience and perspective to go by, but I feel very fortunate to have found Artesian and grateful for having been able to move my parents there when I did. In the past few years, a number of my friends have stopped by to visit my parents, and they have often commented on how thoughtful, considerate, and friendly the staff are. I couldn’t agree more. I have never regretted our decision to go with Artesian Place, and if I were faced with a similar situation today, I would make the same choice.

Moving my Mom into Artesian Place was the right decision. Her overall health improved dramatically just weeks after moving her into this facility. The care, the food, and the social interaction were exactly what she needed. Then, the real test occurred - she fell and broke her hip. She had to be in a rehab facility for several weeks, but was able to recover and return to Artesian. Her desire to get back to her friends at Artesian was an important motivation in her recovery. Angie and her team have been flexible, understanding, and nothing but supportive through these past few years for not just my Mom, but the whole family.

Management and staff are truly focussed on providing the best care possible. It is really heartwarming to see such dedication and follow through for a difficult parent at these moments. They have been with our family through and thin, getting Mom moved to Artesian, assisting through all the twists, turns, working with Providence Hospice, coming up with ideas, recommendations that work, are effective, engage as a team with the family and health care. I cannot think of any other place, process that works as well, and makes our Mom as secure, supported by care, the health care system!

The floor staff are friendly to the guests. Administrators and anyone in charge are not too knowledgeable. Anyone can walk right in. Unsecured.. No one ever asked who I was or where I was going on my first visit or any time I visited. The floors and elevator are so dirty. Common areas are old looking. The room was a joke for a fully furnished room and what it cost. We made a joke about the furniture coming from a second-hand store, and we found a sticker on the lamp. Have some class. Don't let them dupe you in. Their fast talking sales rep is good at convincing people to pay top dollar. There are less expensive, better furnished ALF in the area.
