I’ve been coming to this facility as an outside agency for years. Ever since Bauston has taken over, the residents have been very happy. I have seen different resident that were on hospice graduate from hospice because they’re getting better. I often hear how much the Resident love the food and the staff. The new staff is the best they are caring and compassionate.

My brother was at Ashley Manor Harmony for two weeks. It was horrible for him. The narrow driveway was very long, with no place to turn around, and no safe place to drop off or pick up a resident. There were no activities, the food wasn't healthy for a diabetic, the patio was dirty and not cared for--one of his friends had a patio chair collapse on her. They charged us a $500 upgrade for him to share a small room with another resident. When I asked them what upgrade he received, they told me that he had staff. He nearly died while he was there. He fell repeatedly, and the hospital found that his blood sugar was over 600. I kept asking what his sugar level was at the home, but they said they could not check without a doctor's order. I asked them to get an order from their NP, but they did not. I have been told that it is illegal to extort extra money from a family without providing anything in exchange. When I confronted Ashley Manor about this, they claimed it was legal because it allowed them to accept Medicaid patients. There needs to be a class action lawsuit against Ashley Manor.
