I’m a movement/exercise educator who has taught at many memory care facilities. The level of care and attention the staff of Desert Sage shows to the community who live there is extraordinary. The caregivers escort the residents into the room and then participate in the class creating an atmosphere where learning and moving together makes exercise fun. The staff seem genuinely committed to providing a warm, connected, and engaged community. I highly recommend it.

Deeply Disappointed – Unprofessional and Unreliable Experience Our family had an incredibly disappointing experience with this memory care facility, and I strongly urge others to proceed with caution. My mother, who ha Lewy Body Dementia and was bedbound, required a high level of specialized care. We toured the community multiple times with Stephanie Crespo from the marketing team, who assured us repeatedly that they could accommodate my mother’s needs. Stephanie even personally met with my mom to discuss the transition and gave us every reason to believe she would be welcomed and properly cared for. After weeks of preparation and coordination, we were fully scheduled for move-in. Then, on the eve of our out-of-state trip, I received a last-minute, dismissive phone call from Stephanie stating that my mother “no longer qualified” for admission — despite the fact that her condition and care requirements had been well-documented from the very beginning. To make matters worse, Stephanie offered no proactive solution or alternative options until I insisted she help resolve the situation. We were left stranded, with no safe place to bring my mother upon our return, all because of their negligence and lack of follow-through. This experience was not only stressful but deeply unprofessional and heartless given the sensitivity of memory care and the trust families place in these communities. If you are seeking a compassionate, competent, and reliable place for your loved one — look elsewhere. No family should be put through this kind of emotional and logistical chaos during such a vulnerable time.
