Our mother came to the Assisted Living Community at Fellowship Village to live out her final days. Fellowship Village provided her compassionate care and created a peaceful and comfortable home. We are so grateful for an option to in-home care which enabled us to spend the most quality time with her making memories and having a few laughs without the worry and stress of managing on our own. The staff of the 201 Household should be commended for their high level of compassionate care and hard work. The support and kindness you gave our family as we worked so hard to care for our mother will never be forgotten. Thank you.

Recently I spent Christmas and many days after in rehab at Fellowship.it was a wonderful experience. The facility was lovely, warm, clean and decorated with a Christmas tree and 7flowers.The food was delicious, offering a variety of items, my favorite was lobster tail on Christmas Eve, it made me feel very loved ! The staff were kind, helpful and encouraging during my many days there. One night an angel-woman played the harp for me with beautiful Christmas music .I thank you for all those wonderful people that I met there, for our conversations and laughs together! I am so grateful for Fellowship, for the care that you give to those in need! May God bless your work and your love ! Virginia Gallic

My aunt in her early 80s was submitted into Fellowship Village Rehabilitation and then a month later was moved into Assited Living. She fell at home and was learning to walk again. Because of the staff attention, the daily services (especially food), and the facilities (very clean), she made the decision to move to Fellowship Village Assited Living full time. As her Power of Attorney, I recently spent week in Basking Ridge, and I had multiple meetings with the Assisted Living staff from the program manager to social workers, case workers, and apartment manager. Everyone was professional, yet warm and understanding of how difficult it can be for someone to move from a house to an assisted living facility. The nursing staff even arranges transportation to her doctor to check her leg. During the past number of months, I was included and updated on her progress. I received numerous emails and phone messages. Although my aunt can make her own decisions, Fellowship Village emphases family involvement. Beware that some wings are more social than others. I heard some wings the residents eat more meals together in the dinning room, while other wings the residents eat more meals in his or her room. This is the same concept as if you lived in an apartment building or a college dorm: sometimes you really get along with the people on your floor and sometimes its mixed. It takes effort to mingle, even in your 80s! Fellowship Village is a large and well maintained facility. People in Assisted Living do go to the Independent Living side for programs, events, and shows...and coffee. My aunt joined the new VIBE Fitness & Spa, signed up for chair-yoga, and the book club. We are very happy she is full time resident, and it is a short 30-40 minute ride from Newark airport.

My dad moved from rehab, after a fall and broken hip, into Assisted Living at Fellowship Village. He lived there for 3 years until his passing at 93. He was more satisfied there than we expected, always commenting on how good the food was, how kind the staff were and how nice his room was. He was very touched that the staff called him by name, even though he couldn't remember any of theirs. While he became a bit of a loner after his wife passed, he did participate in some of the activities, especially any that involved singing! As his family, we felt his care was good, truly liked his nurses and aids and felt they truly enjoyed him. Additionally, because he took many walks, the staff at the front desk really got to know him and also made him and us feel like they really enjoyed seeing him a few times a day. I also want to note that the operations staff were very responsive. Dad frequently has something new going on with his computer and rarely needed to call more than once to get the issue handled. The technical staff was quick, kind and persistent! Also, many kudos to the food service staff. Dad and I both felt you truly cared about his preferences and I know how specific they could be. Many thanks to you! My dad was always very independent and capable. While the assisted living environment wasn't how he wanted or expected to live, and not what we hoped for him, once it became necessary, we were grateful for the freedom of the semi-independent living style Fellowship Village offered, while providing him a safe and cheerful place to live, as well as a path to more care when it was needed. Many thanks to the FV staff for your care and love for my dad and for the kindness you showed his family!

My mother has been living in the Assisted Living in Fellowship Village for a year. She came from a home environment and I wasn’t sure if she would adapt well to the change. She is very happy there. She loves the food and there are activities planned if she wants to participate. It is very clean. There are outside areas to sit outside and enjoy the sun. The staff is friendly and helpful. I feel my mother is safe and well cared for. There are medical staff that come to the room, or they can take you to the medical offices in the same building. I would highly recommend Fellowship Village.
