ASSISTED LIVING AT LAKESIDE

Lots of organizations tout how eco-friendly they are, but as the solid waste hauler for Lakeside, our company Hillside Solutions can vouch that they walk the talk. They have a robust recycling program, they are composting food waste from the kitchen, and the residents and staff are really engaged with it. I also spoke to Immanuel's inner-company green team, and they are doing lots of great things to reduce waste, reuse items when they can, and putting eco-friendly design aspects into new construction. This photos shows the dual-stream recycling program we have them enrolled in, which is a more sophisticated form of recycling that sees higher rates of recyclability. The red carts in the background are for glass recycling. And we have some green carts behind that for composting. We appreciate what Immanuel is doing for our environment!

My mom is living at this facility now. It is a lovely place with kind caring staff. Right now during COVID times are difficult and they are doing their best to keep the residents safe and occupied in a safe manner. One big complaint we have though is the food. Since I originally published this I received a call from culinary services at Emanuel Health System. I was very impressed with the response we received and am confident that change will be made. Lakeside Village is a great place. Very clean, friendly and inviting. No wonder they've won "Best of Omaha" for 12 years in a row!

Beautiful facility. Residents are friendly and very loving! I wouldn't recommend a different place!
