I especially want to recognize Kari Barber, who is truly one of a kind. Her compassion and care for every resident simply shine through you can tell she genuinely loves what she does. Kari treats everyone as if they were part of her own family, constantly going above and beyond to make each person feel special and valued. One of the most touching examples of her kindness was when she arranged for the Portland Trail Blazers to sign a basketball as part of a birthday surprise for a resident who was over 100 years old simply because she found out it was her favorite team. That thoughtful gesture brought so much joy and showed just how far Kari will go to make someone feel celebrated and loved. Kari’s dedication, warmth, and heart truly make Trustwell Living at Astor Place more than just a care facility it’s a true home filled with love.
