This is by far the worst place to have your family members. You have residents getting out the building going up street which is very dangerous. They are always short staff so no one is able to really for your safety of your family. The food is not restaurant style. Fixing residents sandwich and potato chips is not healthy when giving 5 days a weeks. The pictures that be posted on their facebook page don’t show what is really going on there. The Activity Director is very deceiving when she acts concerning about the residents but talks about them and their families and will post pictures of them not dress properly or hair done properly. The staff at the front desk is very rude(a woman that’s light skin). The nurse is very useless and doesn’t know anything. Residents have died on her clock because medication is not available for so long. There are so many falls at Forest Lake Manor and residents have died in the past over them. Residents who were walking one day and fall the next day are in wheelchairs. Also don’t expect a call when your family member fall because they will not call and let you know. Very height fall risk because of short staff. If you reading this Please Remove Your Family From Here. A family member just moved out because his mom was found down the street in the middle of the night.

I Forest Lake Manor is a great place!! My mom has been living there for almost 5 years. She and we are very happy with all that goes on there. All the caregivers are kind and loving and professional. They are special people who have the calling to work with the elderly—which is very important to have!! The food is very good and plentiful. The cooks work with residents if the need a special diet which mom has needed from time to time. The activity director is always planning fun and unique activities and celebrations with decorations, special foods/treats, music, etc. the residents have exercise sessions, manicures, bus trips for ice cream and much more. All in all we are extremely pleased with our mom living at Forest lake manor!! Also the ladies and gentleman who answer the phone at the front desk are wonderful and help “watch over” the residents. They know each resident and their family and always have a friendly welcome when family comes to visit.

My sister has been a resident at Forest Manor for only about one month. She has a very rapid progressing form of dementia. At only 63 years old, it's extremely hard to watch her go through and not be able to visit as often as I'd like. On the trips we've made to see her, we've been warmly greeted by all staff and assured that she is being well taken care of. We even got a hug from one of her caregivers on our first visit when they saw us struggling to leave her. They keep the social media page full of pictures from their activities and it does my heart so much good to see her interacting. So far, I'm very impressed with Forest Lake Manor!

Our mother has been at Forest Lake Manor for almost three years. We have been pleased with the genuine concern shown by almost all of the staff during that time. Mother is very content there, and we are always made to feel welcome when we visit.

My MIL moved into Atria Forest Lake after an early dementia diagnosis. Our family's main concern was having someone to accurately give her medicines each morning and evening and to keep her in a routine to delay the progress of her disease. I knew after our first visit that she was going to love Atria Forest Lake. Now, just over a year after she moved in, she is THRIVING! The loneliness and the disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic took a major toll on my MIL. We saw her sweet disposition and active social life return after she moved to Atria. Often, she says she's too busy with activities to come spend time with us! A dealbreaker for her was letting her Jack Russell terrier mix stay with her, and the spunky 10-pound Bella has become like a mascot for the whole place. We no longer have to worry about my MIL's memory getting worse, her forgetting to take or taking too much of her medicines, if she's eating and staying hydrated and if she's safe with her memory beginning to worsen. Atria at Forest Lake's staff are just amazing and supportive caregivers. My MIL enjoys the food and brags to all of her friends that she no longer has to cook, clean or do her laundry since Atria takes care of all of it. The initial transition when she first moved in was a little rocky, but after a few months of settling in and getting to know the other residents, my MIL actually enjoys living at Atria. She's become an ambassador to help new people settle in (I said in the beginning that she would end up as an ambassador after they told us about the program!). Cannot recommend Atria at Forest Lake enough!!!
