We moved my Mother to Cedar Creek from an assisted living facility because she required a higher level of care. My only regret is not moving her there sooner. The staff is amazing. They treat residents with love and respect. I watched staff interact with residents in the dining room and it felt like a family meal. Mom’s room was clean and bright with plenty of natural light and a large bathroom. The hallways are spacious and hazard free. The Facility Director, Rhiannon, and Nursing Director, Jennifer, treat residents and their families with respect and care. When we needed it, they connected us with Southerncare Hospice and they all made Mom so comfortable. Cedar Creek honored my Mother and my family with their care of Mom. If you are looking for a good fit for your loved one, visit Cedar Creek.

Choosing a memory care facility for a family member can be overwhelming. The initial visit/tour of Cedar Creek of Bloomington alleviated any concerns. The staff thoroughly explained their policy of supporting the residents whole mind/body experience. Classes are offered in art, music, movement as well as guests speakers. My mother enjoys all that Cedar Creek has to offer. The facility is well kept and has a welcoming atmosphere. My mother immediately felt welcomed. She enjoys socializing with other residents and staff. The staff genuinely care about each resident. Overall, our family takes great comfort knowing my mother feels safe and protected at Cedar Creek. We are grateful she is happy and healthy due to the excellent care she receives. The staff have gone out of their way to provide phenomenal attention to my mothers well being and in such a pleasant manner! Thank you so very much for all you do!

My Dad moved to Cedarhurst from another facility. The difference is night and day. Cedarhurst is so much brighter with attractive, broad hallways. And the food is much better. They have multiple activities scheduled throughout most of the day. So, there is a lot more social time for Dad to interact with other residents. We worried that Dad would have difficulty adjusting to his new environment. But we needn’t have worried. In two days he was fully engaged with the community. The main thing, though, is that they are fully staffed. I can usually find staff easily whenever I need to talk to someone. The staff are great! From top to bottom.

Our mother is a resident at Cedarhurst. The care given to our mother is both dedicated and heartfelt. Mom is not a pushover even at this point in her life. She recognizes caring people who "treat her like a human being". Mom hugs and kisses the staff. That comes from the heart. Our journey has been personally challenging, however, we could not make the trip without the good people at Cedarhurst. The nursing and administrative teams are trusted advisors. Yes, there are little things here and there that for some elude perfection. Life is not perfect. Consistency of effort and sincerity matter most. Those qualities are here in abundance from the Director and executed happily by the entire team.

Because of sub-par care and serious health concerns, in January I moved my mother to Cedarhurst and could NOT be happier about the move. All the upcharges for “special” services (
