The staff at Avalon in Allen, TX provided exceptional care for my family member during the final year of his life. The director Karescia is amazing and treats all of the residents with respect and dignity while going out of her way to help them feel comfortable and at home. If you have a need for memory care, I highly recommend Avalon.

Kareshia is an exceptional Executive Director (title might have changed since her well deserved promotion). She jumps to the aide of families whenever a concern arises. I have the utmost confidence in this establishment and the staff working for Avalon.

I cannot say enough good things about the care that my husband received at Avalon Memory Care Center in Allen. When he entered Avalon, he barely remembered me and became nonverbal and in a wheel chair. The staff always treated him with dignity. He was fed, bathed, shaved and clothed. The family could visit often and bring special treats or special meals. He could sit in the comfortable lounge chairs in the common room and enjoy TV, music and other residents. Birthdays and special occasions were always celebrated for everyone. When the time came, hospice care was available at Avalon. I could not have cared for him so well by myself. He was especially fond of the director who spoke at his service for which I am grateful

Making the decision to place my mother in residential memory care was the hardest thing I think I have ever done. But living at Avalon has been the best thing for her at this stage of her life. Lock and her team of caring staff work tirelessly to make this a home for Mom and the other residents. Not only do I know Mom is safe, but I also know she is happy. Caring for someone with dementia requires boundless patience, unwavering understanding...and a sense of humor!
