I had to drop in on a weekend without an appointment for a tour. (Please don’t do what I did.) Staff were so welcoming. I was shown the property, all of my questions were answered and we had a frank conversation of resident life at Chestnut Lane. The residents were convivial and open. Chestnut Lane is staffed much higher than the usual Assisted Living to adequately meet the needs of the residents. Unique in the US, Chestnut Lane is currently led by a deaf person, the programs and building are structured to cater to the needs of the deaf (I did not delve into the needs of the blind. Sorry.) and many of the staff are long term employees. The facility was very clean, not a single thing was worn or dated, the smell was pleasant and the environment was bright and comfortable. We not only want our deaf family member to live here but hope we can find such a place for our own needs later in our lives. Well done!

One of their staff members FALSELY accused my son of trying to steal a bench in front of their facility while we were cleaning out Mothers room at the facility next door due to her passing. They even contacted police! I suspect this was motivated by racial bias. The staff member completely lied!! No cause

Chestnut Lane is a welcome home to the DeafBlind community and is a welcoming haven for seniors who need extra support and care! There are good vibes all around from the staff, and a level of wonderful attentiveness from Renee and Kellee!
