Avendelle Assisted Living on Lazy River

I looked at many places for my mom. Avendelle @ Lazy River was perfect. When finding a place for your loved one you want the best for them. You want them to be cared for WELL and not neglected because of lack of staff or staff just “doing their job”. My mom was at Avendelle for 20 months. This place checks ALL the boxes. They are a caring staff, they serve great meals, the place is VERY clean and neat. The caregiver ratio cannot be beat! “Bean” is so wonderful and communicated with me often and kept me posted. She truly loved my mom and had a good relationship with her. After caring for my mom for 10 years I was kinda burned out and this was such a GOOD place. I KNEW and experienced that mom was well taken care off. It was such a relief to know that she was in good hands. I love that the place is a HOME with just 5 bedrooms, 4 of which are singles, one a shared double. I highly recommend Avendelle!!

I cannot recommend this facility enough! It’s taken me quite some time to grieve the loss of my father, and even though he was only living here for a short while the staff here become my support system. From my first phone consultation with Garren to my first in person meeting with him and “Bean”, I knew my dad would be well cared for and protected. All of the staff was helpful, kind and so understanding - of both my fathers disease and of what an emotional/hard time it was for me. Caregiving is truly a calling, and this location has fabulous staff that has that gift.
