I recently saw a friend with Alzheimer's at the Annandale Healthcare Center and was so appalled at the state of his room and the care he received that I instantly notified his family to give them some other options, one of which was AvidCare. I had corresponded with the owner if AvidCare when he worked at another company and when I heard he had his own business, this was my first choice. The facility is extremely clean, but what stands out is the care the staff gives to each patient. My friend was transferred to AvidCare and I was struck by how happy he looked. They had taken him to the barbershop and he looked so much better than when we visited him at Annandale. When our friend was at Annandale he remarked that this was in hell and he had to get out. He has made no such remarks at AvidCare. If you have a loved one that needs to be in Assisted Living, I highly recommend AvidCare.

It’s been a wonderful place for my 96 year old mother. She came to AVID from a nursing home and was in poor health. After a short time at Avid she is thriving. The staff is amazing. Very grateful that I discovered AVID Assisted Living.

Jeffrey and the team have provided excellent care for my family member. The facility itself is clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed for this type of care. The meals always look fresh, healthy, and appealing. The staff checks in frequently to make sure every need is met, which gives me great peace of mind.

My mother had a fall and was put in hospice. We were looking for a nursing facility that mimicked a home like setting where she would feel comfortable and we would know she would be safe and well cared for. AvidCare fit the bill perfectly. The owner Jeffrey has set up the home-based facility with 8 single room, 2-3 nursing professionals depending on need at all times, an in-house ability to despence medication. When we needed to order morphine for my mother, his pharmacy he contracts with delivered it within hours. We were able to set her room up with comforts from home, use the hospice company that we had already selected. His staff, Marie and Olga during the day, were always so attentive. They were absolutely wonderful. When mother stopped breathing at 9:30 on a Sunday, Marie came in from being off-duty because she "had to be there for "Miss Linda". You won't find a more caring operation, a serene and lovely home location in the Farifax area for your nursing home needs. Highly recommend for families that need comfort and care.
