Avielle Haven

My Mom has been in this facility for about 3 years. I have spent an extensive amount of time with her while in the facility. I have to say they care. They do not have scheduled visitor hours. They are not planning or preparing for visitors. When you want to visit your family member you can. You get to see them in their day to day life. I believe not only do they care they want to make their lives more comfortable and they encourage the residents to do as much for themselves as possible. Over time I have gotten to know the staff and the residents. I have seen and realize the challenges that people and caregivers face as they age and how it can be frustrating and demoralizing. I have to say this facility has a gift of hiring people that truly care and treat the residents with dignity. You might be surprised how much life someone has left in them if you encourage them to do things for themselves. I believe it's a gift to be a caregiver and encourage someone to do more for themselves. I admit it takes a family or at least a family member to be committed to someone as they transition into senior care. I have learned nothing compares to a family member being involved in their lives. It may be hard in the beginning as they may feel that they are being abandoned or just want to come home. Be prepared for a lot of complaints, telling you how miserable they are and come pick them up. When they realized that they need 24 hour care and they can still do some things for themselves they start to accept the fact it's necessary. I'm not saying this is an easy transition. You have to be committed to their transition into 24 hour care. You have to work with the staff. I know this is her forever home and I'm thankful for that. She also sees that for herself.

Avielle Haven was a God send for my elderly Dad who had experienced a catastrophic car accident and was being discharged from rehab and could not take care of himself at home. We were told he was being discharged with very short notice so were in a scramble to find a place, we were so lucky we found Avielle. Rachel at Avielle was so helpful getting the paperwork taken care of and making sure they had a room ready for him on short notice. My father spent seven months at Avielle and was always very well taken care of. He was there throughout the Covid pandemic and we were very grateful, due to their strict protocols he was kept safe and healthy. I can't say enough about the fantastic support, helpfulness and communication we received throughout his stay from both Cari the owner and Rachel. They both were easy to get a hold of if needed and were always willing to answer questions or address concerns we had. I would not hesitate to recommend Avielle Haven to take care of my loved ones.

Avielle Haven is a God-send, a true blessing for my mother with dementia. Compassionate, professional and knowledgeable care around the clock. Couldn't be happier or more relieved to have her there!!

I was very fortunate to have my husband spent his last 2 months at Avielle Haven , the care and support from the owners and staff was outstanding .
