AZURA MEMORY CARE OF OSHKOSH

The Azura staff are truly beautiful, amazing, and caring people. My Mom was so well cared for and I know she loved and trusted them. The girls treated her like she was their Mom. They honestly loved my Mom and all of the residents. I have never seen a group of girls with such huge hearts. They give all of the residents real quality time. The level of true love that the girls show to everyone is amazing. My whole family loved and appreciated what they did for our Mom. We will never be able to thank them enough. They are an extremely special group of people and we will never forget them. Thankyou all for being so dedicated and caring, and loving others.

I had my father at Azura Memory Care a few years ago. When he arrived Covid restrictions were in place. I brought him to Azura from a different nursing home where he was getting physical therapy. He was in such bad shape when we moved him from not getting the proper care at the other home. It was such a terrible time when we were not able to go inside to see our loved ones. After being a Azura only a couple days you could see such a change in my dad. He looked healthier and had a smile on his face. My dad loved all the ladies that worked at Azura. Having a family member with dementia is so devastating and heartbreaking but my dad was safe and loved at Azura. I could come or call at anytime to see or talk with him. I would recommend Azura to anyone looking for a home environment home with loving and caring staff anytime.

My dad lived at Azura memory care for nearly a year before he passed. The staff at Azura was absolutely amazing with him and cared for him like he was family. When he passed we shared many hugs, tears and stories. You could see the love they all had for him. I have and will continue to recommend this facility to families who are in need of a loving, nurturing and safe environment for their loved one affected by dementia.

We couldn’t have chosen a better memory care facility than Azura Oshkosh. The entire staff was exceptional. Calista was always available for our questions and recommendations and Melissa took care to let us know about his physical condition. It was a warm, caring environment and they were hands-on with helping my father with any problems he had. The numerous and fun activities kept him engaged throughout his stay. I would absolutely recommend them to others!

Within 48 hours of placement my elderly parent’s glasses were broken and one of their hearing aids went missing. Multiple items in his room, from books to waist baskets to family pictures were damaged or simply disappeared. The staff while always polite would just say we’ll keep any eye out for it or would offer no explanation as to why things were damaged. On several occasions other residents were found sleeping in his bed or sitting in his chair. The rooms are small with no bathroom and due to the limited staff my parent was often found wet due to incontinence. This resulted in a urinary tract infection and orders from a primary care physician for a urine sample. The order came on a Friday and I was informed on Monday that the sample had not yet been taken. I transferred my parent to a new facility and the sample was taken within two hours of their arrival. The staff while well meaning, are universal caregivers and do everything from providing care, to laundry, to making meals. From my observations they are simply putting out fires all shift and are never able to provide full attention to a residents needs. After just two weeks I could no longer allow my parent to be subject to this lack of meaningful care. I sought alternate placement and thankfully moved them out. I would not recommend Azura to anyone unless it was an absolute last and only option for their loved ones care.
