BARTON HOUSE

My grandmother has been a resident of Barton House for well over a year and she has been beyond well taken care of. From the director and care staff to the chefs, everyone has a kind hand and a warm touch in caring for my grandmother. Would highly recommend to anyone seeking quality care for their loved ones.

My mom originally was put into another facility for a month and then we moved her into Barton House based on a friends recommendation. Barton had to close for renovations due to burst pipes and we had to put her in a separate facility for about a year. Except for that one year my mom has been in Barton House since 2020. . Some of the staff has changed over the years, but they hire people that make sure the residents are safe and cared for. They call if there are are any issues and make sure I am aware of any changes in her health or behavior. The food is fresh and hot as opposed to the dry institutional food served at other facilities. Since it’s a smaller facility the staff knows where everybody is at all times. The other two facilities never knew where my mother was because they had too many people and not enough care personnel. The facility was recently purchased, but the only changes I’ve seen have been positive ones. To the person that left one star based on an incomplete phone conversation, I say that your review was extremely unfair and unfounded and you would be wise to call back because you won’t find a better facility.

5 Stars – A Place Full of Love and Care About four months ago, we made the difficult decision to move my dad into Barton House Memory Care — and looking back, it was one of the best choices we’ve made for him and our family. From day one, the staff has gone above and beyond to make my dad feel loved, safe, and truly at home. They are not only professional and attentive, but incredibly kind and compassionate — it’s clear they genuinely care for every resident. My dad constantly tells us how much he enjoys being there, and it’s easy to see why. The way the staff interacts with him — with patience, humor, and respect — has brought us so much peace of mind. The activities are thoughtful and engaging, designed to bring joy and purpose to each day. The meals are delicious and nourishing, and it’s been such a comfort knowing my dad is well-fed, active, and smiling. What stands out the most is how Barton House has become more than just a care facility — it feels like family. The team has welcomed not only my dad, but all of us, with open arms. We’re so grateful for the love and warmth they’ve brought into his life and ours. Thank you, Barton House, for creating a place that truly feels like home.

Barton House has been really wonderful for my mom. It is a small size and very homey. The caregivers are attentive, responsive, loving and fun. I searched so many memory care places and was so sad to be in that situation with my mom. But Barton House is far and away the best option for memory care and I have been so pleased with my mom's care. I go almost every day so I see what goes on and the staff is welcoming and open and friendly. There are activities appropriate for memory care residents, they are treated gently, there is a regular rhythm to the routine there and everything possible is done to meet individual needs. I highly recommend Barton House.

My mother has been at Barton House for almost 2 years and we are so blessed. The care of the staff for all residents is outstanding. I know every time I leave there my mother is safe and happy and cared for with so much love. she sings - plays games- does her sit and be fit everyday and loves being around her friends.
