Battle Creek Memory Care

We couldn't have found a better place than Battle Creek Memory Care to place my mother in law. She had the best care. She enjoyed the staff, she would tell them she loved them. She was happy attending the Devotional Service each week. We could sleep at night knowing she was in a safe place.

The stars are for the lovely building, gardens, and the great activities team. Unfortunately, our loved one was neglected in this facility. She had to wait up to 30 minutes to get help, after pulling the cord on the wall. We were there to observe this on multiple occasions. The call system for requesting assistance is spotty at best, and senior management did not respond to our requests to have it fixed. Our family member is now in another facility, receiving much better care.

I have a couple of family friends who live there. The building is always kept very clean with oldies music playing in the background and I've never smelled any bad odors. I'm always surprised to find so many people working . I here about places being low on employees but this place doesn't seem to have any issues with that. The employees there seem really genuine and I usually walk in finding them actively helping the people who live there. I've spoken with the head manager there on several occasions. He is very friendly and has a lot of knowledge on how to care for my friends particular type of dementia. I see a lot of fun things that the tenants do for activity in the big open area of the building. The place just has a good feel to it. I would highly recommend it to anyone else looking to find a home for their loved one.
