Baxter Senior Living

My mother has been living at Baxter since 2022. She started in the assisted living side and is now in memory care. The management and caregiving staff have supported her every step of the way. It feels less like a facility and more like a community where residents have the opportunity to get involved and support each other. I was recently at a party in memory care and there were some volunteer residents from the assisted living side who were there to help out. I think the management has done a beautiful job of fostering that kind of caring, supportive environment.

Baxter Senior Living is a wonderful place to live! The staff are hard working, friendly, and really seem to care about the residents they work with. Having experience at another Anchorage senior living facility, I can tell you that Baxter is a community-- not an institution. Following two prolonged hospital visits, it became clear that my mother required a living situation with support. This led my brother and me on a search for the perfect senior living community. Our journey culminated at Baxter Senior Living, where an initial tour with Chad left us with no doubt that we had found the ideal home for our mother. Chad, alongside Travis, showed remarkable consideration in fulfilling our mother's preferences and requirements, such as securing a first-floor room with a view of the front, proximity to the elevator, and easy access to the dining area. The staff at Baxter Senior Living extended a warm welcome, demonstrating both compassion and respect consistently. My mother appreciates the camaraderie shared with fellow residents, the quality of meals, and the reassurance that assistance is always at hand. Since becoming a part of the Baxter community, my mother has shown a level of happiness I haven't seen in years, as well as a newfound sense of security.

My mom moved into Baxter in 2023. Prior she lived alone and independently. Mom is so happy with the social community, the activities, prepared meals and her own space in a very comfortable one-bedroom apartment. Mom is thriving in the Baxter environment; I wish she would have moved sooner. For me, knowing she is happy, safe, has as much social life as she wants, can partake in daily activities and is eating well, has alleviated so much stress and concern. Thank you, Baxter, for offering a wonderful environment for our aging parents.
