BEACON HOUSE

I stayed at the beacon house back in 2021! My experience was great, I love the structure, the group meetings, working the steps, and focusing on myself and my recovery. I'm so glad to have gotten the opportunity to stay here for treatment. The staff is all amazing as well. Just hit 2 years clean and sober.

Please don’t go here or send ANYONE here unless you want to be demeaned and treated like a non-entity. They’re only concerned about the money and keeping the house clean. Julie would put people down to the point of making them cry. She smiled as she did this. Most inept counselors ever. I got absolutely nothing out of their so-called “treatment”. Only after I left and lived in a women’s sober living house did I reach my potential. Beacon House is basically an adult baby sitting service. Except you’re treated like a prisoner. Wish I could give zero stars.

Idk what everyone is talking about with these bad reviews. The time j sornt at Beacon was well needed and money well spent. I learned about myself things that no other treatment place has allowed me to discover. Mary Beth, or Momma Beth, was an absolute delight to have around as a motherly figure. Along with the other staff members, Mrs. Jackie, Mrs. Estelle, and Mrs. Tracy were such godsends and im lucky to have ever been allowed to be apart of the wonderful experience and assistance to my recovery that the Beacon House offered me. Thank you all SOOO much!

Hi my name is Sabriana & I am an addict. I got arrested June 14th 2019 and went to Beacon June 27th 2019. I have been clean since. The peers I was surrounded with are ones I will never forget. We all leaned on each other and were there for one another no matter what. We stay in contact even to this day. My counselor was Julie W & she is the most real blunt and loving person. I was definitely frightened of her at first because I took everything as a joke and thought I could do it on my own. But with long honest brutal talks she helped me thru those dark times and I finally gave it a chance. I’ve seen a lot of the comments talking rudely about her and it breaks my heart because she has become some a great friend of mine outside in the recovery community. Overall I highly recommend Beacon!

This is the worst treatment facility I have ever experienced. The staff is completely inadequate to run a rehab facility They only care about admissions and money and will lie to your face just to tell you what you want to hear to get you in the door. Then they will completely rip your sense of self worth apart until you believe it. Their methods of therapy are outdated and expired. The only decent staff are Estelle, Deb, Wendy, Ellen, Bobby Jo and Jackie. Unfortunately they aren't the ones running the program. The counselors who run the program are more concerned about house rules and consequences then any kind of rehabilitation. The 32 days I was there there were only 3 groups that actually focused on treatment. The rest were about not taking coffee outside and the number of people in the kitchen. Do yourself a favor and skip this absolute mockery of a "rehab".
