The Peristyle at Beau West - Level 2

I am happy to recommend Peristyle. I brought my father here from Alabama in September of 2024. He suffers from dementia and Parkinson’s disease. The care he has received has been wonderful. Many of the staff members go well beyond professionalism to assist my Dad. I have gotten to know many of the staff members very well, and I know they care very much for my Dad.

Our experience at Peristyle at Beau West has been nothing but positive. Leaving my husband with Alzheimer’s in a strange place was the hardest day for me, it turned out to be the BEST day & decision for him & our family. He has thrived there, he’s a social butterfly, he’s never in his room, we have to hunt him down because he’s everywhere! He never complains to go home or about the food or staff, he loves them as much as they love him. Everyone employed at Peristyle has a heart for what they do, we as Caregivers know….its the hardest job in the world! I so appreciate everyone for the respect & kindness that’s shown to each individual, it’s not so big that they get lost in the crowd. I prayed that God would lead us to the right fit for my husband & our family & feel our prayers were answered.

My mother has had dementia for close to fifteen years and has lived here almost five years (she moved into the facility when it had a different name and different owners).We moved her here from Florida so that I could visit more easily. We have been very happy with the quality of care and attention she has received. She is content, and therefore, so am I! The staff has had to work to make sure she has clean clothes (she hangs things up rather than putting them in the laundry basket) and has succeeded in getting her to shower regularly and getting her to leave her room for activities. These are things that did not happen at her previous facility, and I am grateful to the staff for gently guiding and directing Mom to this more healthy pattern. Each resident has different needs and the staff members at Perisyle work as a team and get to know the residents and tailor their care to their individual needs. I also love the fact that there is always a nurse on site, so potential health problems can be addressed right away.

My family and I are incredibly grateful for the exceptional care our loved one receives at The Peristyle at Beau West. The staff members, who are not only highly trained but also genuinely compassionate, go above and beyond to ensure that every resident feels comfortable and at home. Whether it’s through personalized attention during meals or engaging activities tailored to individual interests, their dedication is obvious. The facility itself is extremely well-maintained, featuring bright, inviting common areas and comfortable private rooms that create a warm, home-like atmosphere. Knowing that our loved one is in such caring hands gives us immense peace of mind every day, allowing us to focus on cherishing our moments together without worry.

For nearly a year now, our mother is currently a resident at The Peristyle at Beau West. Since her stroke four years ago, we struggled with non-sustainable situations, to include at home with sitters and other facilities. We are very grateful for and happy with Beau West. The staff is very flexible, involved, transparent and caring, no matter who you speak with. That matters a great deal to me and our family. Our mother recently had her 87th birthday. The staff surprised her with one of the largest cakes that I’ve ever seen to include all of the residents and their families. We highly recommend this caring facility for your loved ones!
