I can’t say enough good things about Belvedere Commons. It’s the best place for my mother in memory care. The staff are compassionate, attentive, and treat every resident with love and respect. The environment is warm, clean, and welcoming. Jenny, the director, is outstanding—she truly cares about both the residents and their families. I have complete peace of mind knowing my mom is so well cared for here.

I can’t say enough what amazing care my dad receives here. He loves the staff and they continue to provide me peace of mind, as I live out of State. I speak to my dad daily and he always tells me how well he is treated and that I need to know he is in great hands. I love that they spoil him and he is happy. They had a sweet celebration for this 90th Birthday on 10/24!

Alan Carle’s review of a week ago: “If your [sic] contemplating placing a loved one here, don't do it. They will not get the care they deserve. Just neglect.” First, understand that this was written by a grieving son who lost his 101-year-old mother. Second, understand that he had little in-person knowledge of her care or of her residence, as he infrequently visited her in person since her admission into an ALF in October 2021. My mother-in-law lived in Belvedere for 2.5 years, from Feb. 2023 through Sept. 2025. My wife was with Mom for part of the day, four days a week, and I visited often. She was intimately familiar with the operations and the care her mother received; she knew the staff and most of the residents by name. Had we felt her care was substandard, we would have relocated her. Her care and happiness were of the utmost importance to us. Third, understand that Mom absolutely loved her home at Belvedere, as well as her many friends – both fellow residents and staff. Besides grief, his opinion is based on phone conversations with his mother, who, at times, was briefly not of sound mind due to illness, and on a few discussions with his sister (my wife, and their mom’s primary caregiver). The discussions were at times when mom was experiencing transient physical and mental distress, which left her temporarily in a state where her dreams and imagination went awry, and caring for her was difficult. Yes, there were occasions at this and her previous facility where we felt she should have received more attention, and that was brought to management’s attention. Don’t we all wish that more attention was paid to ourselves or our loved ones in healthcare facilities? While there were rare cases of such feelings, one must remember that ALFs are not Nursing Care facilities. To Belvedere’s credit, when Mom occasionally briefly needed elevated care due to an illness, they provided such care and attention, often eliminating her need to be transported to a hospital for a few days. This was, in our opinion, admirable and appreciated. On that note, when considering placing a loved one in a healthcare facility, you must determine the level of care required on a day-to-day basis. Nursing homes provide 24/7 medical and skilled nursing care, while assisted living facilities (ALFs) offer help with daily tasks such as cooking, dressing, and bathing for those who are more independent. Would we recommend Belvedere for your ALF-appropriate relative? Absolutely! Overall, the staff went above and beyond in making her time there feel “at home”.

Belvedere Commons has the best activities director we have encountered. When we moved our friend to Belvedere we were advised it would be very difficult for her to make any kind of transition. That was not the case. The friendly staff won her over in minutes and she has been happy there ever since. It has been over a year now. She enjoys the food and the people and even does activities now that she did not do before. We are very happy that we made the change for her because it has made her life so much better.

My neighbor at 90 has taken a turn for the worse and her daughters placed her @ Belvedere Commons. I have visited a few times and am most impressed with the cleanliness and attentiveness of all staff I encountered. Unfortunately for me, I have had over 8 experiences in my adult life with relatives requiring this type of care so I feel almost an expert in judging assisted living facilities. I feel I would entrust this wonderful facility with anyone I love. Are they infallible, I doubt it. Are they well run, organized and deeply care for their residents definitely.
