BENTON HOUSE OF WOODSTOCK

Benton House of Woodstock is truly a wonderful community! The employees are consistently attentive, compassionate, and always willing to help the residents with a genuine smile. You can tell they truly care about the well-being and dignity of the seniors they serve. The administrative team is absolutely first class—professional, responsive, and strong advocates for the seniors in their care. It’s reassuring to know that residents are supported by such a dedicated and caring team. I highly recommend Benton House to anyone looking for an assisted living community that puts residents first!

Frustrating experience with this facility. We left three phone messages regarding respite care before getting a return call. The staff member first said that respite care was offered when available (meaning when a bed is available) and then contradicted herself by saying respite care wasn't provided. I stopped in a few days later, filled out a form with my contact info, ticked the box for "Respite" as the service I was interested in, and left it with a nurse. Never heard back from anyone. Honestly, if this is how these folks accommodate inquiries about their facility, it doesn't inspire confidence regarding how they care for those they're charged with keeping safe.

Went on a tour of Benton House in Woodstock today. My mom and daughter were with me as we are looking for a place for my 92 year old stepfather. Our tour was provided by Kristen who is the Resident Service Director. She spoke to us from the care aspect of Benton House. We were so impressed with everything they do to provide constant care and attention for the residents. The facility seemed a little older, but my 88 year old mother found it very warm and inviting. It is a smaller facility which I prefer for my stepfather. We’re looking at several facilities but this place highlighted what was most important and that was the care they provide.

One of the main criteria in looking for a place for my dad was a caring staff. The caregivers, the med techs, and the administrative and management staff at Benton House are all caring and compassionate. Everyone works as a team, and it is not uncommon to find the management staff pitching in as needed. The Resident Services Director, Kirsten, has been very helpful in customizing my dad's care plan to fit his needs, and having her team execute on it. The staff also does a wonderful job decorating the place for numerous events and holidays!

I can’t possibly say enough positive things about Benton House Assisted Living. My father came first followed my my mother 3 months later. They needed very different levels of care and Suzanne, the director, and Kristen, the head of nursing, made sure that every need was met. There are many activities to choose from and there is a true sense of community here. The caregivers and nurses are all not just extremely competent but also very compassionate. We honestly feel as though we are ‘family’ now. I highly recommend Benton House of Woodstock.
