Not impressed as my mother in law was supposed to be transferred to Bethany Home for rehab from Marshfield Hospital for broken ribs. Wow….. did we get the run around and then they gave away her room. How terrible accepting a patient, you accepted her and then canceling transport when they were 1/2 way to Marshfield to pick her up. We ended up getting our own private transport, had my mom in law in the van and a few blocks away from the hospital we had to turn around as they said they would not accept her. Marshfield Hospital gave you everything you kept requesting. After hearing some good things about this facility, I can say from personal experience, I would NOT recommend this facility. Thanks so much for the run around. Can you even imagine what you put my mother in law through and her family the day of the transfer? I can tell you from experience as I am one of the family members, it was a long, exhausting and frustrating day. I guess I am happy she isn’t there.

The care at Bethany is wonderful, food service, not so much. My mother was in a low residue diet and she kept getting fresh fruits and nuts.

My grandfather was placed at this facility a couple of months ago. I have visited him a couple of times. The first time I went to visit, I was able to walk right in without signing in or any security. Anyone could walk in and do something horrible to a resident there. As I was visiting my grandpa, he stated that he was never taken to do any activities. The staff had him sitting in his room in his recliner all day until bedtime. He was very bored and didn’t understand why he wasn’t able to interact with the other residents or join any of the facilities activities. The second time I went to visit him was last night. The staff moved him into a different room for long term care so I was unfamiliar where to find him. I walked in and this time I signed in. I wasn’t told to be the person at the desk, I had to ask her if I should. Again, there is no security at this place and they let anyone in. I asked the lady at the front desk where I could find my grandpa, I have her his full name. She pointed to a man doing a puzzle in the room across from the desk and said that he was right there. I walked to the other room and it was not him. I went back by her and gave me a room number. I went down the hallway she pointed to but I couldn’t find his name on any of the doors. I found 2 employees in the hallway and they told me it was xxx and the door was on the left. I went to that room, knocked and walked into a random man’s room and we were both shocked. I went back out and looked at the name on the door, completely wrong name on the door. I then go back up to the front desk and told her my grandpas room was not where she said it was and I was sent to the wrong room by some employees. She then looked at me confused. Another woman walked up to me and I told her my grandpas name and that it seems like no one knows who I’m talking about. I asked her if any employee actually works there and if they know any of the residents because no one seemed to give a crap about the residents there. They both looked at me without a brain cell in their head. Then one lady said, I think he’s in xxx room. She took off walking super fast in the opposite direction and I lost her. Thought this was extremely rude of her as I didn’t know where I was going and still looking for my grandpas room. I finally find another person and he was familiar with where my grandpas name and where his room was located. I can’t believe the front desk person couldn’t look up his name in the computer system to let me know which room he was in. If she didn’t know, that would have been the smart thing to do. Once I saw my grandpas room, he said he was still stuck in his room all day and no one took him to do any activities in the facility. What I have gathered from this experience with the staff is that the staff is not caring, is not dedicated to the residents and actually getting to know them so they feel cared for. The residents are just a paycheck to them and they couldn’t care less about their wellbeing. If my loved one is in a facility, I expect quality care and for them to at least know his name. Also, the staff does not keep the private bathrooms in my grandpas room clean. The toilet was absolutely disgusting to the point I had to try not to vomit. They obviously do not care about their wellbeing cleanliness of the residents bathrooms because the disgusting mess in the toilet was old and dried to the toilet. I am contacting the state health department due to this. Also, I am not the one who chose this awful place for my grandpa, that was my mom and uncles. I am going to be demanding that he is moved to a proper facility. Don’t let your loved ones stay here, no matter what!

My wife has been there since April. She has dementia and suffered a mini stroke as well. Spent two months in skilled nursing and was recently transferred to CBRF. I have been totally impressed by the professional and caring staff. From housekeeping to administration, and everyone in-between, we have been treated with respect and genuine concern. Working with the elderly takes a special kind of person and many of them are angel's among us.

I am so disappointed with Bethany, espessially today. I tried calling Bethany five times total to remind them that I have an appointment with my grandfather for our Facebook Video chat at 11:00. The front desk picked up twice to direct me to some person that said they would check on my grandfather for me. It is an hour later, and STILL I have not received a call back from anyone regarding my grandfather, nor our appointment today that I made last week. They are not consistent with their phones, nor are they consistent with their residents and the resident's families. 1/5 stars is how I would rate my experiences thus far with Bethany.
