Beverly Assisted Living Calvert LLC

Last year, we had to move my Mom from her home of 60+ years. It was by far the hardest decision we needed to make during the time we cared for her. I was really concerned because of many of the horror stories you hear about assisted living homes. We were so lucky to find Beverly Assisted Living. Everyone was wonderful to my Mom and our family. They took such good care of her and made the transition smooth. She had lady friends again too. The staff at Beverly cares and takes care of all the residents. As a family, my brothers and I can’t say enough about Beverly Assisted Living and the incredible staff, at Calvert Street, who care for our Mom. It’s a small, intimate residence with eight residents, and Allen, the owner, along with the entire team, provide truly exceptional care. Despite being a small facility, they meet all the same standards as larger ones, but with a personal touch. The love, support, and individualized care our Mom receives every day is beyond anything we could hope for. We are so grateful to Allen and the entire team at Beverly!

My mom has been living in one of the Beverly assisted living homes for just over two years. Moving her out of the home she loved was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make as a daughter. What brought me comfort then, and still does today, is the small, home-like setting. There are only eight residents in her house, and she is truly treated like part of a family, not just another resident. The caregivers really know my mom—her moods, her routines, and what makes her feel safe and cared for. The staff treats every resident with dignity, kindness, and genuine affection. The home is always clean, warm, and inviting, and beautifully decorated for every holiday and season. No matter when I stop by, announced or unannounced, I’m greeted with a smile. My mom’s room is always neat and fresh, which gives me peace of mind. We were encouraged to decorate her room with her own furniture, photos, and personal items, and that has made such a difference. It feels like her space. She is always dressed in clean, matching clothes, her hair is brushed and styled, and her personal care is never overlooked. My mom can sometimes become combative and she needs a lift for transfers and personal care. Even on her toughest days, the staff is incredibly patient and gentle. They know when to give her a little space, but they also make loving, consistent efforts to bring her out to the dining room and into the common areas so she isn’t alone in her room all day. Even if she’s hesitant, they encourage her to join activities or simple exercises, helping her stay connected and engaged with the other residents. When my mom first came to Beverly House she was on hospice, and we truly didn’t know how much time we had left with her. Since moving there, her overall health and stability have improved in ways we never expected. The daily structure, attentive care, and sense of belonging have made an incredible difference in her quality of life. My mother lives at Beverly's Calvert Street house. From the moment she moved in last year, the staff have been terrific in welcoming her, learning her interests and priorities, and providing her excellent, supportive care. The facility itself is a modern, brilliantly designed home, and the residents' rooms are large and bright. The neighborhood is quiet and pleasant. I always appreciate the staff's dedication and their eagerness to partner with me in ensuring my mother gets the care and attention she deserves.
