I have a family member living at Black Hawk, and when I heard about the negative reviews I had to speak up. This place is great. There's nothing wrong with it. Is it better with the new manager? Yes. We are even happier now. But it was just fine before and we were all happy with both the care and facilities. It's honestly a great place, and beware fake reviews.

I’m looking at the strange reviews of Blackhawk, and it feels like there’s a personal beef or something going on, because my aunt has lived there for awhile now and we have always been satisfied with her care. I agree that since the new manager came on board, the difference (for the better) has been noticeable. Meals are really good, and the staff seem more motivated. Bottom line: it’s always been good, now it’s way better, and my aunt is really happy there.

My mother has been living at Black Hawk for a little while now, and I can honestly say we couldn’t be happier with the changes we’ve seen recently. Since the new manager came on board, the improvements have been noticeable — especially in the kitchen and in the overall quality of resident care. Meals are much better, with more variety and attention to what residents actually enjoy. The staff also seem more engaged and attentive, which gives me peace of mind knowing my mom is well cared for. Most importantly, my mom really likes it here — she feels comfortable, respected, and part of a community. I’m grateful to see her happy and thriving, and I would absolutely recommend Black Hawk Senior Residence to other families looking for a supportive and well-managed senior living community.
