MAY RIVER LANDING

My mother moved to May River Landing six months ago, and I've watched her confidence grow every single week. The staff knows her by name, remembers her preferences, and the activities director actually listens when residents express interest in something new. Last month they started a book club because a few residents asked for it.

Pleasantly and delightfully surprised is how I would describe my 91 year old mom’s transition from Independent living in Virginia, to independent living at May River Landing in Bluffton, SC. The first few days were filled with caring staff, assigned seating with friendly people in the dining room, and plenty of engaging activities. Whenever I visit or call her, she tells me “ This place is great, I am so glad I moved here.” She is still decorating her apartment but it already feels like home.

This place is wonderful! My mom and I went to visit a friend of hers, and the first thing I noticed was how beautiful the building was. It looks very well taken care of. The staff was also very polite and helpful; they seemed to really respect and care for the residents here. I also noticed the movie room they had, which many residents were enjoying, and the game of bingo they had going on next door to it. All in all, we had a great experience here, and my mom was very happy to see her friend being well taken care of.

I volunteered here for an event, and my first impression was how beautiful the building was! Besides the beautiful entrance, the staff was phenomenal. They truly care for their residents and you can feel the love! Everyone was so happy and very welcoming. Edwina and Shelley went above and beyond for their residents and I couldn't say enough positive things about this place!

They took incredible care of my aunt, and I’m truly grateful for the compassion they showed her every single day. The staff is not only friendly, but genuinely attentive,they made her feel seen, valued, and supported. The building itself is beautiful, clean, and welcoming, which brought us so much peace of mind. Every visit felt comforting because we knew she was in a place where people truly care. I highly recommend May River Landing to any family looking for a safe, loving, and well-managed community for their loved one.
