i have been so blessed to have my family member here at Monark , Everyone goes out of their way to help and support the residents. We have been very pleased with our experience in assisted living. From beginning move in to now we have been very pleased. If you or anyone you know looking this is your place go see the sales team!!

This place is amazing care for people who are Independent, or in need of Assisted or Memory Care. Located right off of 280 and near Lee Branch so much close by as well. Amazing amenities.

This review is for my experiences with Memory Care unit ONLY. I would 100% suggest not going there unless your loved one is in tip top shape. Shortly after my mom moved in, she was sent to the the Geriatric Psych Ward. I had no options. Horrible experience. Before and after my mom's "time" in Monarch, I didn't experience any of the things Monark was barking about. IMO, they do not know how to handle the not so good days with dementia patients. There are so many other options than shipping them off to the Psych Ward. When my mom had falls, she would go to a short term rehab facility. Between the hospital and the rehab, it was EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to get Mackenzie (Dir of Nursing) to have her discharged from those facilities. I can say on one occassion she flat out lied about the reason my mother couldn't be released. I shared that with executive staff and nothing was ever said or done. If your loved one has occassional falls, this is NOT the place for you. I lived on pins and needles every day just dreading the call of the "3 falls, you're out" game they play. One night shift nurse was quoted as saying "I'm glad Mrs ...... has a caregiver tonight, because all she does is roam the halls at night". Again, they want perfection in each resident. This is memory care and sometimes they roam, right? Then the decision - we think it's best your mom find other housing. When that was done, it took 2 months and 2 days to get the refund due to me for partial month. I would hear "it crossed my desk" and "you should receive it shortly". On and on. It wasn't until I contacted Atlas who manages that property that I received a PROMPT refund. Smiley faces and untruths, expectations for the perfect resident, Mackenzie's balony, are what comes to mind when I think of Monark Memory Care. 12/9/25 UPDATE: I, too, take these reviews seriously. I did reach out to the Regional Director via email. As expected, no response.

Monark Grove Greystone has truly been a blessing for our family. The community is beautiful, welcoming, and full of life. From our first meeting with the Sales Director, Tara, to my mom’s move-in this July, the entire team has been supportive and caring every step of the way. Mackenzie and her care team go above and beyond to ensure residents feel safe, comfortable, and respected. My mom feels right at home, and we have such peace of mind knowing she’s surrounded by people who genuinely care. We are so thankful to have found this wonderful senior living community!

Wonderful place! We met with Tara and she was so awesome!! She listened attentively as we explained our situation and how we were looking for a place for my parents close to home. She is a wealth of information and is so kind! She not only explained all of the activities Monark Grove had to offer, but also informed us about the levels of care needed for my parents (IAW Alabama medical health codes). She showed us around the facility and the rooms were quite lovely, as well as all the rest of the sitting areas and activity locations. The pool looked awesome and the restaurant (eating area) had a great menu. Made me hungry! If you're looking for a place that cares about the residents, look no further. We are going to keep Monark on the short list for when my folks need a place to live in their final life chapter.
